Never really thought of it as a sport, but just caught a bit of it and I was really surprised at the athleticism needed to do it.

Oh and the women are really hot!

It requires a huge amount of strength, flexibility, control and lung power. Although I never looked like that when I was a synchronised swimmer.

Some of their costumes are very skimpy - not like that in my day!

they trap kids in pools for years till they get all the routines right.

Russia were really good and almost impossible to beat. Japan very beautiful routine but missed some of the technicalities.

China just up.

As a young girl I used to compete. But my positive bouyancy aids started to get in the way and there's only some much strapping down a girl can manage.
