My last mattress?

Jump to newest

I'm in the market for a replacement mattress. I notice that a leading furniture shop gives a 25 year guarantee on their mattresses.

Given that I'm now 55, would this be the last mattress I would ever buy?

Would that also mean I'd be now buying my death bed?

That's scary!

I got a new mattress last November and it had a dramatic effect on my life.

15 years of chronic pain and stiffness gone.

On the darker turn that the post took ... you could die tomorrow. Any bed you sleep in might be your death bed

Atlantis

This is a cheery post OP

It’s under guarantee, just say it’s faulty and have it replaced every year for 25 years. Then you’ll never lie which will be your last one.

Depends on if the future nursing home requires you to bring your own

Just kidding, age makes no difference. We will all make a last purchase of something because our time is up, we just don't know it yet

I just imagine taking it back after 24 years and 364 days.

You are probably more likely to die on the road than in your bed. Maybe hospital bed. Enjoy the purchase.

What mattress was it?

And I agree about any bed could be a deathbed. We never know what’s around the corner.

It is an emma mattress. I'm a very large man and I was dubious that it would work but it really has.

They often have promotion where you can get up to 40% off

i’m sure you are recommended to replace a mattress every7/8 years something like that so not sure why they would even bother guaranteeing for 25

i’m due a new one too but really dont want to buy without getting into a shop to lay down on them first

So far, I've only owned my existing mattress for 10 years and I'm already getting pain from the springs showing through.

Yes, it also came with a 25 year guarantee, but that apparently doesn't include fair wear and tear such as the soft foam topping failing and allowing the springs underneath to show through.

I do think it would be quite funny to walk into a bed shop and ask if I could lay down on one of their mattresses which was at least 10 years old, had been squirted on every weekend, had seen a weekly gang bang and 5 threesomes, not to mention the sleep time farts.

The 25 year guarantee is bogus. It's just to make you feel comfortable parting your money.

Do yourself a favour and get a new one.

Mine came with a 200 day no quibble return. If I want to return it for any reason I can and they will pay for it to be collected.

But I wont be returning mine.

It was not an Emma mattress, it was an Ikea mattress.

Wellz you could always make a hole in your mattress and fill it with apple sauce and when you're horny just stick your dick in and call her Crumble while you fuck her.

It's a good excuse to buy a new mattress once she's completely solidified.
