What other options d'you think could have won it?

Did the snap ever happen?

Did Thor actually go for the head?

Did Black widow NEED to give for the soul stone?

Well Peter Quill fucked it up twice

First when he didn't shoot Gamora to stop thanos getting the soul stone and then not helping them getting the glove off when he realised thanos had sacrificed Gamora

Doubtful. Dr Strange would have been more thorough..... he probably viewed a few extra and then thought "fuck this, now I'm depressed."

(on a serious note... Chris Pratt is actually hated BECAUSE he fucked up the entire situation... Cos a 19 foot tall purple titan with universe dismantling infinity stones was Chris pratts fault ENTIRELY)

There are an infinate number of possabilities, the ones he checked where just a small portion of the possible win outcomes. All he chacked was the moment that Banner appeared to him until the point of him checking alternatives, and these only consisted of the outcomes of the main battles.
