"I understand. as a PT you are probably used to a lot of physical touch. its a human need. hard to love without. well done on keeping going so far. try a bolster pillow along along you in the bed, or a teddy or pet also people say weighted blankets are good for that sensation of contact. " Yeah was thinking about getting a kitten just for something to be around lol

Too many lockdown pets are being handed to rescue places and they are overwhelmed.

"Yeah nah on second thoughts you guys are totally right ![]() You could always foster a pet, rescues always need foster homes! All the fun and no long term commitment. Cats are great company. It can be very rewarding.

I've sobbed at times so overwhelmed by the feeling of wanting another fur baby, knowing that I could offer it a loving home. Yeah, that's all well and good until I go back to work which wouldn't be fair on any animal and wouldn't be fair on myself by restricting my earning capacity by refusing extra hours coz I need to get home for the dog/cat.

"I have found this second lockdown much tougher than the first and had periods of feeling alone After all my clothes had been sorted in to type/style/colour. I bought plain shoe boxes because the mismatched ones I had got on my tits, then photographed the shoes in each box and stuck the picture on the front of each box. I soon realised why I was single !! Can I suggest if PT is the job you absolutely love, use this time to really think how you can develop that. Lots of businesses are considering home working as the new normal after Covid, can you see how you could work with companies to provide PT services to their homeworkers ? Group sessions on line would keep people connected to their co workers as well as help with posture. What else could you add? things like mental well-being is such a critical issue, diet advice ? Just a thought to keep you occupied and help get your business to grow in what will be a very different working environment " That is really good advice ![]()

"The only emotional link i have to the uk is my parents who are both in their 60's. What this pandemic highlighted to me is that i need to get back to college and look to build a new career for myself and build a new life for myself. That initself will be exciting and fun. So i'd be able to go anywhere i want. This pandemic has been like a rollercoaster ups and down's, it should be treated like a marathon, concentrate on reaching the finishing line. " I think that is a great attitude, the pandemic has damaged so many lives in so many ways. However it will create opportunities as well, I’m not talking about profiting on the backs of others misfortunes. Home working is going to be a significant shift in the way many people work. Whist it’s been a necessity for many it has been done with makeshift solutions. If an employer insists on homeworking then there is a legal obligation to ensure the environment is appropriate, desks chairs etc. So a whole industry can be supported to create efficient office spaces in homes, or I have seen small prefrabicated office “sheds” that can be cranes into gardens. All these will need power, WIFI etc. As per my earlier post employers would see health and well-being given to their staff as a benefit and also a recruitment tool. So I apologise to the OP this won’t stop the loneliness but it could give you a real positive outlook for the future Just my thoughts and ramblings

"Whats some good idea to keep this horrible feeling at bay?" Hey, it's a tough time for a lot of us at the moment so you aren't alone.. Most go to PT or some sort of exercise. Which for you will be like busmans holiday! You could try learning something.. An instrument perhaps.. I'm learning guitar in lockdown just to keep my brain working.. But anything really.. Draw, paint, write etc If it gets too much make sure yiu reach out to those who are near you.. Best of luck OP.. This will all be over one day soon hopefully
