There and to the left a bit

Back in the day was a Rude Boy/Mod and embraced the look as well as the music - but from there a wide and varied taste in music evolved that takes in everything from punk to ska to Northern Soul, alternative, disco and more besides

About the only music I don't like (apart from the odd track) is heavy metal and hard core hip hop (and it's many sub-genres) and not a fan of stuff like Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin etc that just seems a bit pretentious to me

I never actually classed myself as any, but hung out with them all. And funny with the groups that we are all in, most were rockers and a couple of goths and a mod used to ponían and out of the crowd two. We had a real collective of music going on. I was known as the ‘townie’ (I would have chosen to be a rocker)

Do we have to prove/label our "rockness"

I've no idea what I'd be classed as. Always preferred black clothing, but music tastes when younger were Offspring, Avril, Green Day, Boomtown Rats, Meatloaf... but also with Pink and Eminem thrown in

I'm very good at heavy eyeliner, you won't catch me wearing pink.

Then again... I also had clubmix casette tape in my Vauxhall Cavelier

Still love my rock music, but also enjoy the variety of life with country and pop!

Basically... my tastes don't fit in a box, but certainly contain a lot of elements of the box which you speak of.

(That was too much for a Saturday morning!)
