Has the growth of trick or treating lead to the death of "penny for the guy". Cannot recall ever going trick or treating when growing up, but now do so with our 2 youngest.

We used to go around the houses with a swede that we had cut out and a candle in it. Now we take our kids fully dressed up but only go to houses that are decorated for Halloween.

Its time they stopped all that doorstep begging.

All it comes down to is demanding money with menaces, you either pay up or get your windows/house egged (with eggs they've no doubt shoplifted),get the tyres let down on your car, have your gate taken off the hinges or your rubbish bins tipped out.

All this may seem harmless fun to the chav element but is pure terror to the older or vulnerable members of society.

As for Guying, since when was a Teddy Bear in a football shirt, wearing a bobble hat,Frankenstien mask and hastily stuffed into a cardboard box Guy Fawkes?

These travesties are then touted by mini chaves outside every other shop on the High Street, they get on our feckin nerves.

I thought street begging was meant to be illegal in this country!
