Aussies and French.... Olympic related

I have just been looking at the medal tables, so proud of our sportsmen and women.

Looking down the table, its great to be creaming the French and the Aussies

I've been looking at the medal tally for Beijing too and it seems there were a lot more medals up for grabs in general. The Russians got 23 golds and 80+ it total but they're nowhere near that and there's only a week to go. Where are the medals?

guessing more younger athletes have been brought up solely by the former soviet block nation then 4 years ago ... hence bigger spread of medals amongst the former members of the union
