If you're able to do any exercise, I think that allowance can increase

I'll have to walk the 3.4 miles home I think.

Why didn't I just buy a sandwich for lunch instead of mini pork pies and brioche and chocolate hit cross buns

Fortunately, I've only just worked up so I have a full 3,000 to work with. Might have a Dominos for breakfast

You can do a lot with 500 calories. Huge stir fry, omelette, 2 tins of soup

You can do it, don’t give up. There is plenty you can for for dinner with 500 cals.

The key is not to decide you’ve blown it and stop. Good luck

I'm going shopping on my way home, and I won't be hungry, so I won't be tempted to pick up rubbish (which is what I just did in the Co-op).

Maybe a tuna salad, no mayo

I've used my calorie allowance up to September. Can you just borrow someone else's?

They say exercise is good but you need to run 50 miles to burn off a KitKat.

I'm dreading the days when we can socialise properly again. Some weekends I have half a litre of Jack Daniels and cola. Although, I usually have diet cola.

As I'm injured and not training properly my calories have dropped to 3200 on training days from 4000 so I have 800 going spare

His poor liver

I only drink with my sister or occasional in my daughter's garden in summer.

Jack Daniels is the only alcohol that doesn't give me a headache. I bet it's the most calorific one.

Totally not my business here... but I’m gonna anyway! I avoid these diet exercise posts as it’s not the best place to get advice with so much literature and experts out there...

But if your living in a calorie deficit try not to go below 15% of your maintenance calorie allowance, to avoid severe hunger and inevitable struggle, it also stops the body going into survival mode and targeting muscle breakdown for energy rather than fat storage...

Sounds like you learned a valuable lesson in food selection, the importance of eating foods that posses good nutritional value (fiber for satiety) with lower density calories, with greater mass/volume so you feel like you have eaten more. Junk processed foods and sugary drinks tend to be where calories get smashed!

Try eating your current maintenance calories in clean caveman style diet and you will see it’s not as easy lol

I'd used mine up by 5am so decided in for a sheep, in for lamb and have just polished off a packet of lemon drizzle biscuits and now it's time for a couple of beers.

Happy Good Friday eve all

It's ok, I'm not looking for advice. I'm just sad that I was starving and ate loads of crap.

I'll have tuna and salad later and remind myself to eat before I leave the house

Keep at it Jo

It takes a wee while to get the hang of calorie counting and you will realise what you like to use them on more. Every bump is a lesson learnt which makes it easier.
