I'm sat in the garden working and can hear the waterfall in the small pond. The occasional splash as the koi carp leap in the bigger pond. Birdsong (most notably the wood pigeons!) and the distant sound of children playing in the playground in the village school.

It's really rather lovely.

Not yet here. Think they break up either today or tomorrow. Depends on your local school system I think. My sister had 2 kids, one in primary school, one in secondary. The primary school started their holidays this week, the secondary school starts next week.

Completely missed the first part of this. With the pump and filter system running again in my pond, I can hear much the same too. Gentle noise of running water while sitting on the patio, and the occasional splash/splosh as the biggest carp tries to grab passing flies/crows. Because I obviously don't feed them often enough
