Secret hideaway in the pennines

What is your go to brew, fresh or instant.

I am lucky enough to have a brilliant wholefood shop just around the corner, so I get a blend of beans to my taste.

Azera instant is my go to at home. Although I have a range of beans, a stove top, a cafetiere and a grinder at home too. Just depends on time mainly.

At work I have Taylor coffee bags, they are really nice.

When working from home I use nescafe decaff, as I tend to have about 8 cups a day.

When out visiting clients, I am partial to a vanilla latte.

Never instant. I might drink it in a hotel room if I am desperate, but there isn’t anything more vile than instant coffee

Always ground coffee in a cafetiere... I tend to bring my coffee beans from Mexico but there is a decent selection here in the UK. My taste has developed in the 18 years I’ve been here to a much stronger coffee than we drink in America (as in the continent) but I still haven’t evolved enough to have it unsweetened. No milk.

Hubby is a coffee snob, he gets beans delivered days after roasting, which he then grinds on Demand for Espressos.

“sock tea” we call it it’s pretty tasteless to me now! unfortunately the beans from Mexico are roasted to match that taste so I have to use much more coffee to pack a punch ...

Which reminds me I need to buy some more coffee. Any recommendations? I prefer already ground, strength 3-4 ... will consider beans too!

I use Has Bean. They err towards light roast depending on the bean profile. Many other companies exist that have a similar roast and post model.

Lavazza pods

If we didn't have the machine we'd have filter at home. Instant is for emergencies, when there's nothing else! We get a lot of take out coffee too.

Love fresh coffee but don't have a press or brewer anymore, so I have my dolce gusto and array of different coffee bags rather than instant. Keep a jar in though for visitors though lol

Fresh from a cafetiere if I'm at home. The aldi Columbian beans are very good. We have loads of independent places where you can get all sorts of beans but the Aldi ones are one of my favourites
