Secret hideaway in the pennines

I have just had an off site message from an old ex.

She heard about my spitting up with my last partner and wanted to know if I fancy meeting for a chat.

She became an ex for a reason, and I don't want to hurt her feelings, but I don't want to go back there.

Best way to deal with?????

Delete, ignore, block....

(You knew this already, but I'm happy to reinforce your own conclusions)

Politely refuse .

Do you think she wants to rekindle that old flame? Is it possible she just wants a friendly chat?

as said previously.. she is an ex for a reason..

best to look forwards I think, unless you want her as an ex a second time around and she gets the last laugh on you!

Just say outright that a chat is all it would be and you don't want to start anything with them. Set your stall out from the get go.

Do what you think and feel is right, you'll know the right thing to do, despite what others advise you to do, you'll come to your own decision

La la land

Is she someone you come into contact with? Like your all part of the same friend group?

If not just ignore the message. If you are just refuse politely.

Thank her for her concern and explain to her your reason for not wanting to talk to about it. You can still be nice to her regardless, if she get nasty then block her.

She might could just be being friendly.

The thing is that you don't *have* to meet her. You aren't obliged to get involved at all and even if you do and she asks if you can get back together you aren't obliged to agree.

You say you don't want to hurt her feelings but in my experience trying to avoid upset actually leads to worse in the long run whereas polite honesty leaves everyone knowing where they stand.

I would ignore it.

Replying might open up a conversation.

Exes don't bring anything new into your life - it's never a good idea.

Thanks but no thanks.

If you reply be polite then block all communication as they will always try to keep the chat going.

Rest easy.

Meet, fuck, sleep, repeat.

After all if she’s been an ex once, she can be an ex twice!
