Drop everything right now and do 5 push ups.

Do this every day until I say stop.

Don't be a pussy or make excuses, just do it. I don't care if you do or not, but by the time you've read the rest of this post you'll probably find you could have done it and got back to fabbing by now, with slightly increased chances of pulling, so just crack on with it.

Ladies, if you'd like to join in- do 5 standing squats instead

Why don't we just do the 20 usual pushups like on the women's thread ?

There and to the left a bit

Can't do press ups and never have been able to - but I'm on Day 63 of a Fat To Fit app that gives me a 10-15 minute set of exercises to complete combined with a daily brisk walk of at least an hour....so I'll continue with those instead

Back workouts are my faves!! I don't care . I'm hardly about to become she hulk just because I like to work my back .

You're supposed to keep your elbows back for normal pushups anyway and wide push ups work your chest and shoulders more anyway, not your back?

If they could do it for exercise, I would be running classes and selling massively overpriced hoops!

You can do it for fun, but the hoop will always rotate around your belly button because your hips are too shapely, it gets pushed upwards. A woman's bellybutton is miles away from the natural pivot point in your pelvis, so it's extremely inefficient just to keep it moving.

When I do it, it revolves right on my pelvic pivot point, right at he base of my dick. I barely have to move or use energy, it's just timing, tension and counterbalance. Extremely satisfying when you get into it, and perfect if you can't do aerobic exercise.

The key is to never buy a hulahoop, they're always useless. You need plenty of water inside to keep momentum going and make it heavy for muscle building and toning, commercial ones are usually solid plastic, dead weight, with ridiculous nobbles all over so they hurt.

Here here!

Doesn't help OASC fitness tests still have different levels for men and women. When I applied (I didn't get in lol) I set myself the target of the men's levels.

I beat all the men there (including an ex navy guy) at the pushups and sit ups. Didn't get men's level bleep test, but even after that I managed 43 push ups and 38 sit ups in a minute, all done one set after the other after the bleep test. Military standard, hands on temples, elbows to knees and elbows to 90degrees, no half arsed efforts.

Never tell a woman she can't do what a man can. (Except anything involving a willy)

Erm.....if you say so. I've done it for exercise and fun. Been doing it since I was a child and can still do it now. Round my hips, my stomach, my arm and even my neck can't do it round my leg, I lose all coordination on that one

My hulahoops are an example of perfect physics, you cannot improve on it. Your hoop is an overpriced, gimmicky piece of trash. I mean, it's not good enough for you to do it every day, is it?

Similarly, you cannot dispute the fact that women are physically different to men. Don't get so defensive, it's just another one of those things which we're unfairly good at and you're not :p

Whoooa there... what on earth are you talking about? You can't just make stuff up and pretend I said it!!

I've never questioned your ability to do push ups. I never would, because women are perfectly capable of this and I am not. I have a permanent injury which prevents doing too many.

I suggested squats instead because they're more useful for women. It gives them nice asses, which we men enjoy more than big, muscular backs.

I haven't said anything sexist. Patronising you like this has nothing to do with your gender, it's your IQ and general temperament causing an issue which unfortunately requires dealing with.

I am not a PT and never claimed to be. I have asthma and can't do aerobic exercise, so I hoop while watching telly because it's virtually no effort for me. Because I'm a man with narrow hips. And I understand physics.

You're the one being sexist "women can't do pushups " .. do squats instead? And saying back muscles on women are scary? How about we want balanced, functional bodies too?

If you're a PT and this is how you talk to your clients, I'm astounded you have business.

Calm down.. So women should only work out certain parts of our bodies for men's pleasure? I've heard it all now "

Yes, and please do it in mega tight leggings, a bra top and a full face of make up. Ta love

I don't understand where you've got this idea I'm baiting anyone other than lazy men. You lasses are trying to start fights, making stuff up and getting irrationally defensive, but you cannot win a fight against basic physics!!!

Us "lasses" as you chose to call us , haven't started anything. We simply replied to your misogynistic comments. Maybe you should go back and read what you've wrote. We "can't" do certain things and should only do certain exercises for a man's benefit? Maybe go hunt for dinner once you're done too

Ladies, if you'd like to join in- do 5 standing squats instead

Can I run 5k instead?

Agreed seen it in basic and airborne school. Big muscle guys falling out of road marches because of 0 cardio. Sucking air like they were suffocating.

Just some quotes from yourself...

Ladies, if you'd like to join in- do 5 standing squats instead

(As if we're not capable of pushups)

I'd love to recommend hulahooping but chicks can't do it

(Generally dismissive of women)

Lasses with big, muscular backs are a bit scary

(Downright rude)

Well... I've done it pretty much every day for 20 years, so I kinda know what I'm talking about...

(Big up yourself, then say you're not a PT)

My hulahoops are an example of perfect physics, you cannot improve on it. Your hoop is an overpriced, gimmicky piece of trash.

Don't get so defensive, it's just another one of those things which we're unfairly good at and you're not :p

(Menwomen statement)

I suggested squats instead because they're more useful for women. It gives them nice asses, which we men enjoy more than big, muscular backs. (Squats are not more useful, you're just a pervert with sweeping generalisations)

I haven't said anything sexist. Patronising you like this has nothing to do with your gender, it's your IQ and general temperament causing an issue which unfortunately requires dealing with.

(My IQ is just dandy thankyou and doesn't need proving to you)

If you don't see the issue, you're the problem.

Mate, quit virtue signalling, you obviously have only been following the female version of events.

"The science" refers to women having a different hip to waist ratio than men, so they can't spin a hula hoop around their pelvis, right at the pivot point where you and I would do it. It gets pushed up around their belly button which is inefficient and fucks their backs, so it's no good for exercise.

They can do it for fun, but they'd need narrow hips like ours to exercise effectively.

What's wrong with that?

"Can I get my house husband, who is better at housework & can do all the manly jobs I'm too feeble to do, to do his 5 press ups after he's finished all his chores? "

He wouldn't need to, would he? But then, he'd do it if he loved you

"Drop everything right now and do 5 push ups.

Do you have any exercises to make my man muscle bigger?

Weighted cock ring and use it as a hula hoop.

Not quite the same thing but I once saw a video of some women doing hip thrusts with weight plates on a strap on

I've sent you that one haven't I

Probably. Sounds like something you would send . "

I do send you the best stuff

No I absolutely 100% disagree with you. How about you have respect for others? You seem to think you know everything about what exercises women can and can’t do, which is totally wrong! I can’t see a single reply on here that is “made up” to protect any ego. the only person making things up is you OP!

What science are you on about? Speak for yourself and stop saying “we men” because I don’t agree with anything you’ve said on this thread...

You’re kidding right? How judgmental are you to accuse someone of virtual signalling just because they disagree with you? Rarely have I read such BS that hasn’t been deleted already.

How judgmental are you to accuse me of being judgmental, when you clearly don't understand what I've actually said in this thread, just like he was doing? Either you're virtue signalling, lazy or stupid.

I gave the other guy the benefit of the doubt with the virtue signalling, reserving judgment for you...

Please judge away. You seem to get a kick out of it.

Nothing in my post would suggest understand or not understand what your point was btw. I was commenting on your attitude alone.

Get in the push up position and put the cake under your face. That way, every time you go down, you can take a bite of cake!

"OP you can't blame women calling you out on some of the things your saying

Well... I only said those things to specific people because they were being irrational.

They then cut out the parts they thought they could use to gain sympathy from the crowd, presented them OUT OF CONTEXT, and then repeated them until the passing masses thought they were being truthful.

They did this to protect their extremely fragile ego, because they can't accept a factual truth about hulahooping and thought it was fair to demonise me rather than say 'oh really, I didn't realise'.

So... I do blame those people a little, but I understand they're just not bothered enough to look at both sides thoroughly and make rational judgments, so they just weigh in and believe whatever they think will make them popular.

You haven't though. Very fair question

There have been a few good suggestions that combine training and self gratification above.

All I do is 15 push ups, five minutes stretching and I hulahoop while watching telly every day. All the people who took offence in the beginning are the snobby gym rats, showing off about all their time-consuming exercise and pretending I said I was some sort of expert
