Can you imagine if the movie Speed was remade and set in Britain? Oh no, they can’t go slower than 50 or the bus will explode but it’s cool because they’re on the M4. Ah wait, there’s the 50mph average speed limit for that shitty new smart motorway no one asked for and there are three specimens going up the lanes side by side doing 46 miles an hour KABOOM, the end.

I think the idea of a London bus with a bomb on it just wouldn't work, especially at rush hour.

"If the bus goes at more than two miles an hour, the bomb is armed. If the bus then goes under two miles an hour... oh dear, it's just blown up."
