You don’t, just delete them. Unless you like the look of the profile, then reply.

I send a well thought out personal response reflecting and referring to something from their profile to show I had read it. I try to show some sense of humour and show some of my personality.

"we get loads how do you respond to them"

I’ve never received one, however I suppose it depends on the quality of the message really.

If it’a a copy and paste but with some things added that shows the person has read your profile, is that so bad?

Play them at their own game if you want to reply.

Otherwise ignore

This I get quite a few but if they’ve added something from my profile I don’t have an issue. I have several ‘draft’ emails at work that I use on a regular basis and just add to them dependant on what the reply requires. So if someone does the same here and has actually read your profile, no problem

My nan’s spare room.

On the other side of the coin. How else am I expected to message two hundred profiles a day with the offer to smash their back doors in because they are so beautiful.

It’s in our profile that they are not for us so I just reply as normal and point out our love of C+P messages and I reckon that two out of every ten apologize and four don’t reply and four try and blag it out.

Lazy but understand it’s the law of numbers.

I tell them nice copy and paste message. You sent that weeks ago. And block them. Probably sidney uni.

Treat them the same as the messages that simply say

‘ Hi how R U’

‘Wat U up 2 today’

They all get a swift delete.

I spend a lot of time thinking about what to write if I’m messaging. It would be nice if people messaging me did the same!

"It's not often I get messages, but just out of curiosity how can you tell if it's a copy n paste job?"

When it’s not specific or using general terms about you or your profile.

If I got a message that was about a specific part of my profile, picture or video it comes across as genuine. However if there’s a message written, that could be sent to anyone on here, it certainly looks like a copy and paste message.

As I said earlier in the thread it’s not a massive issue if they’ve added in something personal about your own profile within the message. Unfortunately not many do that so it comes across as lazy and uninspiring not much better than the usual ‘hi, how’s you’ messages I get regularly.
