are we about to see an air conditioning revolution in the uk due to covid ... does it make sense or over reaction ..

have a friend who works fitting these systems and the work books are full with more than 50% normal housing when his normal client is 95% commercial...

what do you think air conditioning a good thing or not

It has been an absolute godsend, we’ve had air con in our bedroom for a few years now and it gets well used

I live in southern france and air con and a pool is essential in summer when temperatures go over 50 deg..

A hot tub in winter is pretty good too heated by an air con system.. I have 4 units in my house and absolutely needed..

As it's a fairly cold climate, I can't imagine air con being worth the investment other than during a few days in the year.

Can someone enlighten me how it helps with Covid though as I thought it was just recycled air?

I work with air conditioning for a living. So I obviously have it at home, only in my bedroom though.

It is so nice to have for those 3 really hot days that we have in the summer.

Even if there wasn't a pandemic there still would have been a big rise in aircon because of climate change,i'm getting one because it sucks trying to sleep in a room that's slowly trying to cook me

Yes it just circulates the air that's already in the room, the same as a desktop fan does.
