Have you ever got your container vessel stuck up a canal on a meet and did you get it out with a tug ?

Did it turn sideways and block all other container traffic that was queueing up?

Yep, the blokes who were queuing up behind me were raging, some were carrying big cargo too.

They just told you it was big, it probably wasn't...

I will not have your canal banded around wily nilly!

Had to dump a few loads to get out. Once I was done the canal was busier than it had ever been.

If you'd only used a barge horse disaster would have been averted.

Guys assume they just need it tugging but surely they’d get a stronger pull if they had someone pulling them off from the side.

Brighton - even Hove!

I understand the huge vessel now needs to be unloaded. All those little containers might float away if they are not caught in something.

Hope those containers aren't stuffed with holiday makers who was trying to avoid the travel ban

This is the very specific reason I categorically would say no to meets on tankers or container ships. I was always paranoid about being stuck in a shipping accident. When asked to meet on takers/container shipping I would always say oh let's just meet at the pub. We all have to have boundaries right?

I never leave home without a tug boat

I insist that he leave all vessels at home and we meet somewhere low risk to minimise the chance of that happening. However if he has been messing about with his vessel prior too then that is unfortunate. I will not meet anyone with a wedged vessel

Yes it needs great care, it only takes one of the little containers to float somewhere it shouldn't be to cause another accident

That was the first thing that came to my mind when I read an article about how they need to swivel the ship, not drag it back.

It’s definitely left.
