"New on here and had to wait ages before I can post. I'm curious is it impolite to refer to a woman as bbw instead of curvy. I wonder if many find the word bbw offensive. Personally I hope not " Best to refer to them as women rather than label them, what one finds acceptable another won't like.

"I don't mind either, it's a fact that I can't get away from right now. As long as people are aware that I'm lumpy and bumpy, that's all that matters. Some may take offense though. Its individual to each person. But first and foremost, I'm a woman. Just don't use it as a derogatory term " Every woman is a secret. A man must discover it and keep it to himself.

"I hope nobody is taking my post the wrong way . Just to be clear I do not mean to label or be offensive to anyone at all " I think it's a valid question and it's clear you're asking for opinions on if something offends before saying it to people .

"The trouble here is that they aren't interchangeable terms. A BBW might also be curvy, but not everyone that's curvy is a BBW. Curvy is about shape, BBW is about size. I'd just go by how the person chooses to label themselves. " Thank you that is basically the answer I was trying to find. I appreciate your comment

"First and foremost body shape (any body shape) should never be the definition of the person. Drives me fucking nuts. But attractiveness is subjective and that’s ok too. If you like bigger women that’s great. As an overweight woman with very few straight lines I like to know the men I’m with like me and also like what I look like. It’s great to know you’re attractive and that someone is attracted to you. You like someone, you talk to them, maybe you meet them. I’m struggling to think when you’d need to use those terms in conversation. Would you message me and say “I like curvy women” or would you message me and say “I like you”. Trust me if I got the first message you’d get no reply. V x Apologies I haven't clear explained myself properly and I don't mean any offence "

"A lot of women describe themselves as curvy or bbw, its probably ok to refer to those women in those terms but in reality its best to just refer to them as women. I'm older than a lot of people on here and we get quite a few messages saying how much they like "an older woman", to me that's just lumping me in with every other woman in my age group and not looking at me as an individual. Its the same for most women, they prefer to be appreciated for themselves rather than just one aspect of how they look" Yes I totally agree I think I've not worded my post correctly and it's given the wrong impression.

" you haven't given the wrong impression. You've asked a question and you're receiving answers based on what you asked. You now know that its not a good idea to address women a certain way unless you know for sure they won't mind.
