Does a profile with very little on it actually put you off messaging even if the pics look really hot

We do tend to find that a well constructed profile and good pics are going to appeal to us more.

Shows lack of effort if the profile is blank and they’ve been here for a while...

Yes it does!

I think both create an idea or perception of the person(s) behind the profile.

Yes it does because I know nothing about the person and what they are into. It’s easier to go to someone who you can see you would have a common interest with.

Also ‘I’ll fill this in later’ on a profile tats a year old is an instant put off

Definitely, I decide via someone's profile bio if we're compatible & usually mention something they've said in it. Photos are great if they're tasteful but need more

I find profiles with the bdsm test results to be a put off

I'd sooner read a short profile than paragraph upon paragraph of banal comments that make someone out to be either a snarky arse, some kind of mythical being or a complete stud muffin

It does me, I prefer it when they've written a bit, so I can see if we'd be compatible.

I've had long bios, short bios, one sentence bios and it doesn't make any difference to the idiots who still message me regardless

Yes - profile content and style tell me if we have anything in common whereas a picture does not.

Yes. I look at profile content before pictures.

Don’t look at mine then . BDSM covers lots of things and the profile helps you see where you overlap or compliment others preferences so I choose to have that in mine.
