Elvis presley song.

So keeping with the musical format) and probably too late again) love or hate the man as many people do.

Whats your favourite song by the late great Elvis Presley.

For me it's G.I blues from the movie of the same name. It's fun and upbeat.

Ever tried ironing school uniforms, making packed lunches, sorting washing and creating a fab forum thread all at the same time... Mistakes can happen on occasion you know!!

I only like two Elvis songs...Viva Las Vegas and A Little Less Conversation

"Burning love "

The last of his attempts to keep with rapidly changing times. This and way down were the only real impact he made after 1974

The Sun Sessions invented rock and roll to a large extent. Almost everything afterwards owes a debt to Elvis and Sam Phillips.

His comeback album From Elvis in Memphis is also a classic. Produced by Chips Moman and featuring top musicians it's one of the greatest records of its time.

Sun Sessions was incredibly influential, and certainly popularised rock and roll... but invented it? No danger. First recognised rock and roll track was Rocket 88 by Ike Turner in '51 and there are a whole lot of other black musicians who were doing their thing at the time too... Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, Little Richard etc. etc.
