I know im in a boring fart mood today but im rained in.

So are you a museum person, i love them. Im going back to ypes war museum later in the year, it has been closed while they have renovated it so im really looking forward to it. What is your favourite museum to visit

Ypres is absolutely amazing! I went years ago - you should also try and get to the memorial park, take tissues though!

I love the Imperial War Museum in Manchester, its astonishing and has part of Rudolf Hess' plane!

I love the Natural history Museum in london and the British Museum.. to be fair I like most museums..

Where doing it all when in ypes, have been to the museum before but its only just reopened after being closed for about 18months so cant wait to see it.

New Riverside is pish comapared to the old transport museum. Over in nitshill is the overflow worth a nosy. Edinburgh has the some nice art fary places, good for the soul, the big one has had a good makeover.

Kelvingrove has Sir roger and a Spitfire though try and beat that

We went to the train museum in york and i cant bloody stand trains, but i went round the section with all the royal trains and i really enjoyed that, sat and had a coffee while jay did the rest

The Bronte Sisters House in Haworth is absolutely out of this world, I can quite imagine them writing in the house.

Theres an egyption exhibition on in Birmingham at the moment, ive been 7 times already and going again tomorrow i love anything like that, im a bit of a geek at heart lol

Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

If you stuck me in the Cairo Museum I could quite happily spend a month there (assuming someone fed me occasionally)....every time I've been it's been on those organised trips and I've just said to the guide that I'll see you at the front when we're ready to leave.....bloody love it there

Around my own location , Beamish is my favourite open-air museum, The Discovery Museum in Newcastle is my favourite indoor facility, and The Lit & Phil in Newcastle is my favourite antiquarian book depository.....

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Natural History, V&A and Science in London. Small and very niche but I always cry when I go to the Foundling Museum.

Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam

Natural History Museum

Horniman Museum Forest Hill

The old Museum of the Moving Image on the southbank (was closed temporarily in 1999 and never opened again,nice one BFI,it was fantastic for kids)

Swaffham Museum in Norfolk is a bit odd

Love the British Museum, MOMA and there are some alternative places, for specialist interests/tastes -

Keswick's Pencil Museum : we didn't try it.
