For all those that have twitter accounts and photos on here that are a little beyond the "norm" ought to read the details of #porntrial. It is very scary what the CPS will put people on trial for.

Apparently inserting a whole fist into an orifice is obscene. However just inserting four fingers is considered not to be. This may not be a 100% legally accurate but it's a very good rule of thumb

Actually, the 'rule of thumb' has been said to derive from the belief that English law allowed a man to beat his wife with a stick so long as it is was no thicker than his thumb. In 1782, Judge Sir Francis Buller is reported as having made this legal ruling.

Sadly, we can't post links here, but googling #PornTrial will help you find lots of useful and frightening info about this story.

Google 'HeresyDungeon' and the top link gives full information in the trial

Google 'CPS Extreme Pornography' and the top link gives the CPS guidelines for prosecution.

Google 'Epetition 5817' and the top link gives a Petition proposing that the law be removed. The law was introduced in 2009 and rushed through parliament as a knee jerk reaction to a crime committed after someone had viewed porn on the internet.

I realise that there will always be some people who use this forums for a bit of fun, and i'd hate to live in a world where they didn't, but before you make any jokes about this, please have a look at the story behind it. It's really quite frightening that you can now get a two year prison sentence for viewing an image (not possessing, just viewing) of a sexual act between two consenting adults, which it is neither illegal to perform, or to photograph, but just to view a photograph of!

Interesting, the CPS today made the accusation that "people who attend sexual health clinics take part in more risky sexual behaviour".

Pleased to say Simon Walsh has just been found unanimously NOT GUILTY on all counts.

Time for the CPS to answer some questions as to why they tried to prosecute, why they claim that people who use sexual health clinics engage in high risk behaviour, and hopefully, the farcical extreme porn law will be looked at a little more closely now!
