Age filters

Before you start, I know we can filter however we want.....

But, can you honestly say that you could tell someone’s age by looking at them.

So, you meet someone who looks late 30s, afterwards they tell you they are 49. Nope stop - “I only have sex with 35-40 yr olds!!! “ and you leave your social.

I know the website tells you to put a filter up, but I understand why people pop 18-99 in their filter, I don’t think that are strictly attracted by age. I know some older people that look and act younger than they are, and vice versa.

Is your filter precise or did you add a couple of year buffers either way?

I’ve been approached by lots of guys who don’t look their age.

For example a 50 yr old who looked more like 70

Some outliers always exist but at the end of the day, most people look within 5 years of their actual age.

On here it reduces the messages and that’s the main reason for it.

Outside of here, no you don’t know and it’s something I’m useless at guessing someone’s age.

Easily solved though carry a cassette tape and a pen and ask them how they relate to each other, if they don’t know they are to young

They are what you'd call guidelines...

Generally I wouldnt meet outside them, but Im not blocking messages from people who dont fit in the bracket.

My filter is pretty precise but that’s because I generally prefer to date men my own age. Also I get less messages. At clubs it’s a little different. If I’m just having sex then I don’t care too much about any relationship forming. I do have some friends who are much younger than me though.

Mine used to be 35-39 only. No idea why lol that was a few years ago though.

I think it’s now 29-41. Although I may up the higher end as I prefer older men.

I didn’t like to sleep with men younger men then myself until I met someone once who said they were the same as me and then told me after sex he was in fact 6 years younger then me

To be fair they’re just random numbers we put in. I tend to have filters on so that no one can message me at all, unless it’s for maybe face pic Friday occasionally. I prefer to send my messages.

Some older people are immature and some younger people have an old head on their shoulders. Age is just a number, I prefer to consider each person individually
