Leeds + Newcastle

I don't drink so I can't say I've increased.

Mr has though but at least it's in a controlled environment.

Few less drinks but over more nights probably works out better than the 15 pint Saturday sessions of yesteryear.

Nope. I only drink a few times a year, I end up throwing most of it away.

We drink less because it's taking time to eat our way through the mountain of chocolate to get to it.

I don't think it's cheaper, but I'm definitely drinking more. Not every day, but binge drinking in the weekends when my isolation is more apparent. Truth is I'm profoundly lonely and really feeling the effects of losing someone I loved during this event. Most people on here are too surface level to connect with. So I drink to escape.

Can't seem to find anyone even closely approximating what I used to have either, be that Fab or vanilla.

It's weird, cause by all measurable standards I'm a successful, fairly wealthy professional, but loneliness knows no boundaries.

Quite a big thing for me to admit, that.

I did drink more when lockdown first started but that made me uncomfortable so I’ve stopped completely again not missed it at all.

Well I didn't drink in pubs all that often before, so I guess it depends on your definition.

Everything is getting more extensive by five or ten pence here and there, but there are always ways around it when it comes to drinking. Like a Malbec? Get it from a rival supermarket. That gets too much, buy a Temperanillo from another.

I've tried to be less obsessive cause I can afford either. I just don't like getting ripped off.

That said, there are far worse things happening and far worse to come. Bit depressing, but it seems to be the way it's going.
