Seen a comment or a post and been annoyed or have a disagreeing opinion with the intention of saying so. Then start reading all the negative comments and by the end found yourself almost changing your own view, offering justifications and rationalisations due to the bombardment the OP has gotten and just left the thread like a ninja!

No? Just me? I’m a strange creature!

There have been times where I'd wished I'd waited to post

Rarely. I think that some folks feel sympathy and start to root for underdogs though.

I generally read an OP, formulate my opinion, then read the comments. If I find posts that I agree with along the way, then I’ll comment on those as well.

Unless someone has posted something eloquent that makes me reconsider, then I stick with my opinion.

I don’t feel sorry for people just because they’ve posted something daft and get that pointed out

Occasionally... I'm more likely to type out a response on a thread, and then delete it all without posting as I can't be bothered with the fallout

When you know it’s going to be a case of Pigeon Chess, a complete waste of energy to engage in dialogue with someone.

Ditto.

I haven't the energy for drama and negativity at the moment!

.

Sometimes I read a thread and I do think that the OP can come in for unnecessary abuse - it happens when the mob mentality is invoked. I tend to just avoid any ranty ragey threads because people aren't really listening (well reading) each other, more just typing over each other angrily.

Haha luckily I’ve never had any ban’s

Most often I see the thread and it’s already been bashed, and I go through this cycle and just walk away from it instead of saying anything

Wasn’t sure if I was just the argumentative type playing devils advocate, or empathy or what.

Yeah. Happens a lot, but When there's enough negativity going on, no need to add more, even if the post is outrageous. Its just a waste of energy sometimes..

I sometimes like those because I imagine people bashing their keyboards and getting all the anger out.
