Who didn't get dramatic and moody before or during menstruation?

I had a lot of pain, but I never got emotional.

(Chris) I've found it safer not to comment in any thread where there is a suggestion that a woman might be dramatic or moody occasionally

"You are the best "

Yea, I know that, but there must be other women who didn't stuff themselves full of chocolate, blame their partner for everything, kick the dog and cry at the moon every month.

I just took some Ibuprofen, stuck a pad on and got on with it.

I'm bloody glad too.

It doesn’t affect me a lot. I might be a bit tearful, but I don’t get extremes like some people do.

Well in which holes do you take the ibuprofen ?

That must be the reason

On a mooch

Apart from a bit of slight discomfort and tiredness, I don’t get emotional. I get a headache a couple of days before and can be snappy, but I put that down to wanting quiet time.

I get emotional briefly but I'm self aware and have methods of managing it on the plus side my periods are usually a breeze apart from some weakness. Unless I come off the pill.. then it's a disaster fountain. Bleeding and crying mess of me.

I often found I was more hungry before that time of the month but never emotional... Never really had bad periods. They happened and I got on with it.

I never experienced physical discomfort, though I did get a little weepy beforehand.

I've seen so many women say they cry and crave chocolate and get angry with everyone, I wondered if I had been lacking a hormone.

I just had pain and tiredness.

I had to have my coil removed because of huge fibroids.

I only had them in A&E once, when my back went in Asda.

I had a choice but the nurse said the suppository would work quicker, so I chose that option.

Male equivalent, knowing how men react to pain, is probably a paper cut or a stubbed toe

Just like anything in life different people have different responses to things - for some women they have additional medical reasons that make periods particularly unpleasant for them.

You're not that much of a unicorn for not having the emotional hormonal surges that go with a period, sorry.

Well I must be lacking that hormone too.

Everyone reacts differently, I seem to be like my mum, however my aunt and cousin are on a different level, crying, nothing is right, angry and eat everything and anything in sight. Curiously they both started 5 years before us (age wise), is it down to age and what you experience, one of those things I’ve wondered.

I feel very low when I'm on my period. I'll cry for no reason and I crave junk food badly.

It's strange because before I had my daughter my periods never bothered me and didn't effect my mood at all. But these days I'm just so tearful and sad whenever it's that time of the month. It's horrible.

One of my daughter's gets really emotional, eats loads of sugary food and becomes volatile.
