3 years ago today my mum passed away without any warning she had a panic attack as my dad passed away 2 weeks earlier and she just couldn't cope without him.feel like shit today got no motivation whatsoever.need cheering up today.

Remember all the good things you can for all the years that you had her and smile.

The past has to stop sometime.... she lives on in your good memories. Don't give her a miserable day today.

It's ok to be sad, to grieve and to mourn. You don't have to put on a brave face of any of that other stuff people tell you.

Losing both parents in a short space of time is hard. He told to yourself today.

You made me realise, Granny, I forgot my beloved relative death anniversary this year. Just few days ago. But I don't feel bad after reading this as this person is with me almost daily. X

I'm sorry to hear this, today must feel sad for you.

I'm of the thought party that you don't have to be strong, or brave, or hold your chin up. I'm a strong believer in giving permission to yourself for the tough days.

Anniversaries hurt and you're allowed to feel pain, and you're normal in feeling how you do, please know that.

Just be you, allow yourself to feel however you feel, own and name your grief and know it's OK to hurt and feel sad. Let today be whatever it needs to be to help you.

The best advice I ever heard about grief was this. It's OK to sit in that dark, sad hole for a while. It's normal. Just don't take a suitcase, unpack and live there.

I'm sending warm gentle hugs your way and hope you will be kind to yourself

I totally understand how you are feeling i (mrs) lost my mum and dad just befor Christmas and every day is hard..its so crap...look after yourself and lean on your friends.. big hug.

Not at all. If you want to open up about your feelings there are better places to do it. I gave my comment because people's opinions and views can be very damaging to someone in real distress. You have no idea of what's going on in this guy's head, about his history or his current emotional state of mind. Someone posting a comment like this is a cry for help. Put your batman cape away for a minute and stop yourself making stupid comments like i'm unkind because i make a sensible and ultimately far more helpful suggestion.
