I look back at my life.... all the mistakes I made.... then look at myself now with what I have achieved despite those mistakes x

Chippenham Malmesbury area

I go for a run, long and slow; I just loose myself in my surroundings and let my mind wonder (whilst still keeping a lookout for crazy dogs and even crazier drivers). I always feel on top of the world afterwards.

La la land

I allow myself a day to wallow in self pity. Because it's something I'm feeling and it's ok to.

Pick myself up I talk to my mates to be honest. Say I'm feeling shit and they'll let me talk it out. Usually feel a bit better then

To be honest I've learned when I'm having days like that just to kind of let them happen.

What I mean by that is I've learned that it's OK to have an off day but obviously if it's a little bit more long term or unmanageable then might be worth chatting to someone.

Hope you feel better soon. X

I put on my gold hot pants, Choose Life crop top and hit the promenade on my roller blades, I just skate them blues away, my soundtrack is very much Girls Aloud ‘The promise’ on heavy rotation.

Friends letting me vent or listening to my ramblings judgement free.

Going for a waddle and forgetting everything but focusing on my breathing.

The last time I had a really meh day I made barely any contact with anyone and spent it under the duvet with Parks and Rec and marshmallows.

This is really important - it's definitely okay to feel crap every now and again, it doesn't necessarily need to be fixed. Wallowing can be good for resetting. Fingers crossed you get your spark back OP.

I am capable of digging some very deep holes for myself but fortunately I have family and friends who recognise when it happens and are ready to step forward to help.

I listen to Death Metal on full volume and pretend my kitchen is a mosh pit. The combination of working out my frustration to loud music and the endorphins released by insane exercise lifts my mood.

Plus I love Entombed!

Sometimes I'll just make the conscious decision to wallow in it, give myself permission to just spend a whole day feeling blue.

Giving myself the space to feel it rather than trying to jolly myself out of it sometimes is enough to make the fog lift a little.

Only if it's a short lived blue funk though, anything more serious or long lived needs more than a wallow!

shits creek

I let it run it's course.

Which, considering I'm a cantankerous old cunt isn't always a wise move.

However.... fuck it.

When the days turn into weeks then I know full well I need to reset

Have these days quite often, just normally sit it out and tell myself it won’t last forever. A better day will always come round. If it’s a Friday I’ll have a few beers

That’ll teach you; they’re an 8. Are they catching on your ‘excitement’?

Have you tried journaling? Using it as a way to observe your thoughts?

As others have said, it’s ok to sit with those feelings, and have a sad day too.

Sending you hugs xx

Wallowing to give myself space is a good first step for me too. Then I do something constructive but enjoyable, then I work on my psych crap.

C'est moi Boudoir

It either becomes a duvet day or the dogs get walked for at least an hour. Either way the reward is pastries...that's what really cheers me up.

Hope you feel better in yourself x

I don’t try to pretend. It’s human to have emotions and trying to pretend that I’m feeling one way when I’m actually another isn’t helping anyone.

If I can’t shake off a low mood, then I need to understand what’s causing it, then go from there.

Feeling down is normal, it’s ok to not be ok. Just know that the feeling will pass

I totally agree.

It's bloody exhausting pretending to be OK when your not.

Afternoon went a bit shit for me.

I'm overeating and making myself feel worse.

Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day all around.

All I can say is don't eat chocolate; you'll feel worse in the long run.

As long as it’s not happening a lot it’s fine, it’s normal, go with it rather than fight it. You can have different activities for those days and learn to enjoy it...... RGU k if it like allowing yourself to have a real good cry at a funeral, you feel content after.
