It is a classic..... John Milner whips young Harrison Ford ass..... proper Americana.... fantastic soundtrack too.... oh to be young in that era

Absolute classic....interestingly though....Bob Falfas (Harrison fords) 1955 chevy was the faster of the 2 cars in real life having been the actual car used in the movie "2 lane blacktop"....universal already had the car, and merely changed yhe wheels, painted it and removed the hood scoop.

The engine in milners yelliw 1932 ford, was also used (photo only), as the engine in the 1934 ford coupe in the movie "the California kid", starring Martin Sheen.

Great film, $775k budget, over $200m at the box office, and put Lucas into a great position to negotiate a deal for his next film, a wee project called Star Wars that made him a billionaire.

One of 5 films made for less than $1m by universal with young film makers at the helm (thanks to the success of Easy Rider)
