Stumbled across Roman Kemp's documentary on male suicide when I put the box on to watch something else I'd recorded.

Broadcast as part of the "BBC3 on 1" strand. It is linked in with Comic Relief.

It's very good.

searching on iPlayer for

Roman

will be enough

It's called Roman Kemp: Our Silent Emergency

if you so inclined you could search on iPlayer for Silent Emergency and it would also come up

Of course, when he came to Scotland.......... it rained!

Last gf was so toxic and poisonous i felt like doing same....

Nothing compared to how toxic and poisonous she was to her ex.

She made out he was the problem.

But found the evidence it was all her.

Then slowly noticed she did all the things she complained he did. She had been projecting all along.

But she knew how to hook and trap.

you ignore all the evidence... and messes with your head.

Male suicide is a huge issue that needs tackling.

It's ok not to be ok fellas. Talk to someone, anyone.

I found my dad dead. He gassed himself in his car. If anyone is feeling that low as to take your own life please please talk to someone or message me I am a good listener. The pain that stays with your loved ones is heartbreaking. I don't think I will ever get over it.

I for one do not know you nor the gent from Glasgow who mad similar admission but I am glad you weren't successful. May I ask why you feel that way?

I've had a complex start to life as did my 2 sisters - we all wear our own scars. My birth mother was someone who should never had children. But if she hadn't, I wouldn't exist. Been bounced around care, fostering, grandparents up to age of 4. Scars still remain.

At the age of 30, I was married and expecting my 3rd baby. Relationship with my husband (now ex husband) was not good and he actually questioned as how I became pregnant

. He left me to make the decision to go ahead with either having a termination etc. (I didn't) I felt despair. I felt unwanted & unloved. Fast forward a few months when it's my 30th birthday, heavily pregnant, family function going on not even a warm greeting etc from husband. I refused to go to the family function. I didn't even want to be alive. I felt lost. No direction as to where to go. Lots going on in my head. Very very dark hole I was in and I'm not even sure how I came out of that because I had no one. No one I could turn to. No one who would understand. But I did. I'm glad I did. No matter how shitty life gets or is, I don't wanna ever be that person again. Still very much on my own fighting my inward battles though to see me and be with me, you'd never guess that.

Please, please reach out. It might seem awkward chatting to people on here about things but sometimes the anonymity can help you be more honest. That's why people use services such as the samaritans etc.

Look up andy's man club and see if you have anything in your area. Local to me there is a men's mental health gym group (I don't think they go to a gym, I think it's just a name to get interest).

It's a very real thing and you need to feel safe and supported.

I will be sure to catch this. Adult life can be unbelievably hard and cruel and none of us truly know what’s going inside the mind of others or indeed often what goes on behind closed doors.

I’ve had lows same as everyone and I have alluded to on another thread, going through a difficult divorce, right though it may be has exposed me to some feelings of self doubt.

I’m always there for anyone who needs to chat. It’s heartbreaking to think any of us should need ever feel truly alone x

It's really thought provoking, let's you know can happen right in front of you and that we can all just do with being checked on at times.

Having been to the edge myself due to PTSD, it's so easy for loved ones not to notice the slide down hill till they get the knock at the door from the police.

I found the people around you absolutely do care. I just couldn't open up, and the support and help doesn't always come from the people you expect. Some other people are just keeping their heads above water themselves, it's not that they don't care, it's that they are at capacity and also need help.

But I do urge you talk to people, call Samaritans, or the numerous other services. Stay safe.

Call them again. Maybe try the Samaritans or Shout. They do text or phone..
