Who watched the news?. Shocking and heartbreaking. And here we are feeling sorry for ourselves because we can not go to the gyms, pubs or out for a meal. We do not realise how lucky we are.

I said this before that the western world has become selfish self centred entitled winging degenerates (not everyone) and a little hardship is nothing compared to the countries that are suffering real hardship who have zero outlook right now which no pandemic can compare. It's frightening the way the world is going...

They have the pre existing hardship PLUS pandemic. I can't imagine dealing with that on top of the already horrific issues in refugee camps etc. Hearing things my students have suffered (or continue to suffer in places like Myanmar etc) keep your perspectives firmly in line.
