According to the Express and Radio times, Show creator Jed Mercurio has suggested there could be a seventh series of the much-loved series.

"We’re in a situation where it’s not entirely clear that there will be a seventh series," Mercurio revealed. "We would hope there could be. But we’re having to do our planning coming out of COVID, and a whole bunch of other things around the idea that these things aren’t guaranteed at all now...A lot of it depends on the key creatives – me and the main actors – finding new stories to tell within that universe.”

I'd venture as far as to say that along with The Bridge it's one of the best police dramas ever made, if not the best drama full stop.

I watch very little TV, and The Wire is only thing I’ve really indulged in recent years (loved it).

Happened to see an episode from series one of LoD when it was shown recently(ish). Did get sucked in.

Currently on Series 3 Episode 3. Read all 645 comments in the The Guardian blog from 2016 when Episode 2 was shown this morning. I guess it’s hooked me!

I did it last year in about the same time, as I had never seen it. Series 2 was my fave. Binge watching you'll get gripped, as they can start a little slowly and heat up. You'll also keep track of little dropped clues better

Yes they started of low and the senior covers were in charge and the suspects. Everyone thought they had H in S1 but more came along, a position to be recruited into so not necessarily a name as suggested initially.

Think back to when Matthew died by jumping in front of her to take the bullet, was it just because he cared for her or protecting someone higher up the organisation ranks. Then her whole I need to get his dying declaration all part of her cover. Add to that every case they do she is the one undercover so used to lying and playing both sides, so easy to leak information but not actually be the suspect.... that’s where my mind has wandered to

He did. They hadn’t worked together long so could suggest a longer connection unseen. Also when did she transfer into the MIT investigating the journalist’s murder before or after it happened? As I said where my mind has wandered but probably way off the mark
