I think that people like him are incredibly dangerous.

In my opinion, modern Britain has recently been demolished by sensationalism in the news media, and I find people like Piers Morgan to be the real instigators. He, and others, are like the Jeremy Kyle of journalism - always looking for an opportunity to provoke, always looking for drama, always looking for conflict.

Piers Morgan, Katie Hopkins, Sean Hannity, and Bill O’Reilly make people think that shouting, interrupting, rudeness, denial of facts, and having unflinching opinions is the correct way to debate and discuss topics. It isn’t! They create a toxic space that attempts to reduce complexity down to “black and white” by disregarding others’ opinions. People go on to mimic this in their everyday lives, because being able to put a complicated subject into a simplified, dramatic sound byte helps people feel like they understand it. It speaks volumes for people’s intelligence when they can’t be open to reason or other points of view, and get aggressive in discussions because their simplification doesn’t stand up to scrutiny.

So, bye Piers! Go and sulk, like the baby you are. Hopefully he will be replaced with someone who understands complexity and the importance of listening, empathy, compassion, and working together.

I really did your enjoy your post and I agree with almost all of it except that I don't believe that is how Piers operates. He does listen, he is more than willing to have his points of views challenged and changed. He enjoys facts and I see no reason why anyone should accept the unsupported opinions of others. Facts yes. Opinions No. I more a fan of pragmatic truths than I am of the 'well that's my truth' school of thought. Do I think he's self serving ..... yes.

I turn on the TV in the morning, to find out what's been going on in the world. Not to listen to someone, who has an ego the size of Everest, try to make guests feel uncomfortable and belittle them. You do that, and your never going to get the best out of anyone. Let alone the truth.

I think he has caught lots of liars out. But to keep attacking them verbally, long after he's made his point. To me at least, is too close to bullying imho.

Because of Piers, I've had to 'make do' with the 'unbiased' BBC.

He may tell it like it is sometimes, but he hates when others adopt the same approach so much so he talks over them until they back down.

Yet that's exactly what he does for others. He rakes over other people's personal lives. He shouts over them in the name of 'journalism' and people think he's some sort of hero. He isn't. He's clearly a bully boy whose fragile ego was smashed by a very calm, very eloquent challenge.

I said it before and the more I watch of him on various stories I see it more and more..... He trades on 'Great britain' to gain the support of red top readers. He's The Sun personified. Anyone who dares to question anything he says is branded as unpatriotic, questioning our great queen, etc.

Alex stating that the person in question snubbed piers is a fact. Piers admits as much in previous interviews. He says she ghosted him after meeting Harry. He was pissed off he didn't get an invite to their wedding.... Again, a fact.

With any sort of testimony you have to try and separate fact from interpretation. That it was done incredibly badly in this case is my point.

"Faked photos of British military allegedly torturing detainees

Insider trading in stocks and shares

Phone hacking of Millie Dowler, Prince Harry and other celebrities

What is there not to like about the guy? btw he didn’t hack Millie dowler of you’re going to slate a man at least not tell lies about him personally he’s not for me but I 100% agree with him on his views on Harry and Meghan

It’s a bit like ordering a murder, the man that did hack the phone did it on his say so. You don’t have to pull the trigger to be complicit"

Rebekah brookes hacked it not him as I’ve said if you are slating a man don’t tell lies regardless if you think he’s an odious worm

He hacked a dead girls phone and mocked up fake abuse of Iraqi prisoners. Both caused massive harm. These are just 2 reasons why he should never appear on t.v. again

This seems to be becoming a bit of a widespread misconception now.

I wonder where its coming from?

"I won't watch it now he's gone. He may rub snow flakes up the wrong way but plenty of what he says I agree with, it's just the way he says it is derogatory and comes across offensive to the PC brigade. He should run for PM. I'd vote him in for sure."

"Piers Morgan left series after backlash over his comments about Meghan Markle whats peoples view on Piers over 230k sign petition should he come back?"

You got to respect a person who aint affriad to stand up for their beliefs, instead of another presenter who says what they are told.

But, I very rarely agree with his views, and he is a bully when people disagree with him.

I have no opinion of Meghan, but I think Harry is a genuinely decent guy, and hope everything goes well for him.

Arsehole. Really hope this is the end of his tv career, although I seriously doubt it. Whatever he does next, I'll not be watching it x

I already see to many unsolicited pictures of dicks and arseholes on here, so the last thing I want is to see is one on the telly!

Good riddance!

Ok.... Whilst he didn't do it to mollie dowlers phone he knew the practice of phone hacking was going on and did nothing to challenge it.... Still a pretty shitty thing.
