Countryside or seaside?

Which do you prefer?

Am fortunate that i am within 15 minutes of both just by walking though urbanisation is increasingly closing in more and more.

I would pick the countryside over the seaside if i had to choose, preferably somewhere without weekender homeowners with huge 4 x 4’s.

Kidsgrove

Countryside. Rented a holiday cottage in Wales once up on a hill. Surrounded by trees at the back with views accross the sea. That was nice.

Well I live 10 mins walk from the beach and am surounded by fields so I guess I have both. Would probably swap both to live in a log cabin in a forest somewhere.

Seaside if not busy or commercialised too much. Countryside if it is.

Countryside. The coast is nice to visit in good weather but I'd not want to live there.

Somewhere near here

It’s a bit of a tough one but I’d say countryside. I grew up by the sea but live in the countryside now. Seaside will always feel homely but those summer months it can be busy

Living in a forest seems nice but it's always dark

Seaside

I live close by to lots of green spaces which is nice but I have a soft spot for the ocean.

It would have to be somewhere quiet though - not a tourist spot.

Yep, and more chance of being gored by a bull than eaten by a shark

Countryside just pips in at the post first. We live in a very rural area, in a AONB, with no neighbours, plenty of space and peace and quiet.

We would also love to own a property by the coast for weekends away, maybe one day when we retire.

Mrs loves the coast and feels totally at peace when she's there, and could sit and watch the sea all day.
