The day after I found out my thieving cunt of an ex had robbed me of about a grand (on top of the £4k I had lent him.....), his car was seized by the police as it had apparently been used in an aggravated robbery around about the time he bought it......dunno what the outcome was as I haven't spoken to the scummy twat since, but I haven't seen the car outside his house.....I'm a big believer in karma

20 years ago my scummy brother in law tried to get his mother who was dying to change her will in his favour. She was not of sound mind so the solicitor would not agree and a few days later she died.

After years of wrangling where the winner was the solicitor, he got approx 50% of the estate instead of the 33% he was entititled to, a house, business etc.

He has lost everything, due to him being lazy and thinking the world owed him a living.

I don't believe in karma, just a superstition to me, but behaving in a kind, well mannered and altruistic way makes you feel happier and encourages others to behave in a similar fashion, which can only benefit everyone

People do tend to focus on the negative..... Ive always been willing to overlook peoples flaws, when talking about people i only comment on whats good about them and for the most part people ttake the piss, so no, in my experience it doesnt work out. Those who behave like bastards get rich while those who treat people fairly get overtaken and stay at the bottom.

Karma is rarely instant. Karma is also about good coming back to you and not just bad deeds being punished.

Treat people with respect, act with integrity and honour and admit when you are wrong. Build good cause and effect in your deeds.

After reading all these I am wondering if it works in this case.... ok! a friend, good looking, fit young guy who i became really close friends with and helped him out in anything when he needed me. He was Romanian and he was a bit unsure of the language but tried his best. I would help him when he asked, gave him advice, even gave him a fair back from London when he was short in cash. Did his cv for him looked for jobs for him, got a portfolio together for him and countless other things. Now... lets just say... hes into a lot of modeling and butler in the buff and he now is a rank, up his own arse ignorant sort of person. I have watched him change just gradually and its came to my attention he only got in touch when he needed something and i have felt let down, im not in his town but i was always on end of a phone. Does karma work in this way too do you think? he hasn't replied a thing when i ask how he is doing and hes even blocked me on face book saying things change. im ranting on here, but i really hope karma works for people that take take take and give nothing back when you thought they were friends. Any one have any input on this lol. let down sad person i am x

You are clearly (and rightfully) disappointed in the way he is paying you back for the friendship you offered when he needed you. I totally get where you are coming from and that perhaps through Karma you might get some closure for this episode.

The Buddist's might say that it won't be in this life. I think people like this often have no one at the darkest moments. When they are old who will care? No longer buff and not having given anyone any reason to want to care for them. Cause and effect.

Thanks for your input. I ended up sending a text saying i was very dispointed in him and that he was a self centered self absorbed bla bla bla... all the rest that comes with it, and that i was deleting him as he has only used me and i have been there and since hes progressed hes now living in a model word and trying to get further with his looks and what ever else he can do with it and that one day that will all go and he will see who is there for him. Hes only with these people cause they are chasing the same thing. I felt awful sending it and im gutted i said it. but there was no point in me sending messages asking how he was to have nothing back. so maybe karma will smack me in the arse for this text... and it looks like im rude when i was only letting him know how hes changed. but you are right with what you say xx

Surely, if you learn from a mistake then it is not too late? Yes, the mistake has been made and there may be some causal effect but if you don't make the mistake again then lesson learnt. The point about the repeating patterns is that we haven't learnt the lesson yet.

Karma is the wrong word anyway as it applies to the next life, when one is reincarnated, not the current one.

I do belive in it but not in a Karmic way, or that materialk gains and losses balance out or anything like that, but i do belive that many people who spend thier lives srewing over others, eventually kill some of that spark of humanity within them that cancerously destroys thier ability to socialise on a normal level and maintain friendships,Seeing every issue in life as a conflict scenario that they must win. whilst those that are genuine people centred, are more giving and get screwed over more but if they can keep thier own self belief theyprobably have a more supportive circle of friends and an ability to float more happily through life.
