Anyone else get excited when their landline rings?!!

I love it!, it rings about once a month, and is nearly always a woman in Delhi claiming to be from talktalk (I'm Vodafone lol). So even though I'm chatting to, and ridiculing, a scammer in India, it's very exciting!

I tell the scammers their mum would be very disappointed with them if she knew what they were up to

Not had a landline since about 2006

When I go to visit my parents, I am irritated by the amount of calls they receive

I keep asking them to get rid of it

I just tell them I rent (even though I own my house), that soon gets rid of them.

I have a landline only because I have a elderly aunty who rings me every weekend and I also have elderly friends who ring the landline every couple of weeks.plus it's fun talking to the scammers to wind them up

I use my land-line to talk to my mum as she hates chatting on her mobile.

I get a lot of scam calls but apart from them, it rarely rings! I uses BT call protection so eventually, even the scammers won't get through.

"or your t.v. ?

Completely rid of my landline. Don’t even have the wires going to the house.

I have a data package from mobile provider with a little thing called a dongle that sits in the window, it does my WiFi.

Don’t use any Sky, Netflix or any TV stuff so that’s not a problem.

North Bucks

Only person who rings my landline is my Father (and scammers)

If I’m out he will ring my mobile to tell me he has rung the landline and will ring me later on it. He will then say bye.

Cheers Daddy

"I pay for landline but don't actually have a landline phone "

Same here. In the 9 years we've been together I don't think we've owned a house phone at all
