Verifying when both unverified

I met someone a while back (before lockdown)

But we are both unverified so neither can verify the other. Is there a solution.

One of you goes on cam, gets verified and then verifies the other?

That's the only option I can think of.

No.

Other than one of you getting verified via other means with a verified user (web chat?) and then retrospectively verifying each other.

No.. one of you need to get verified by someone else first. Otherwise the "fakes" that everyone keeps talking about would just create multiple accounts and verify themselves. Verifications would then have no value.
