Just wondering what peoples thoughts are gb men vs gb woman. I believe gb women will win a medal and it being gold but im not that confident about the men winning anything.

Think both teams have a chance. The more the men play the better they look.

The men's team weren't expected to get out of their group but they've only gone and won it! As for a medal, they might get Bronze if they're lucky, but they'll face Brazil in the semis and that's if they get past South Korea, who had their best years in the 2002 World Cup but they're no mugs and TeamGB Men haven't exactly been awe inspiring so far.

The girls should do well and be in the medals given their current form and I hope they get the Gold.

Newcastle and Gateshead

the GB women will run into the US women in the semi's.... who they have never beaten, (it is always close those for the 1st hour... then the us run with it)

have been so impressed with the GB women so far.... I am lucky enough to have tickets for both the mens and womens qrt finals in newcastle.. so US vs new zealand in the womens on fri afternoon, and Brazil vs Honduras on Sat!!!...

have to say... looking forward to them both after going today!!

Speaks a man from Northern Ireland whose team hasn't exactly set the world on fire.

This team is Great Britain, unfortunately no irishman or woman was deemed good enough to get into the squad.

Mind you as a resident of The People's Republic of Liverpool, I have no more than a passing interets in England when they play, having more interest in making sure that all of Liverpool's players get home safe and well whichever nation they have played for.

mullinwire

think they are both nailed on for a bronze.

will be doing very well to get more, but we live in hope.

and as for the negative comment above, LOL. glass houses and stone throwing springs to mind.
