In the time honoured words...

What have you done today to make you feel proud?

I pulled myself away from a low mood this morning and had a decent day as a result I also used the word acuity in a conversation and felt like a fucking genius

Let us know what you're proud of, anything counts, shameless brags welcome!

Haha I know what you mean, I'm terrible for getting distracted/procrastinating! I started my own business just before the first lockdown and with the amount of admin involved I'm glad Covid's given me an excuse to not do it lol

Well it's a repeated pattern, n patience n tolerance wears thin, I don't hold out much hope, which sounds nasty, it's not as have history behind it

I have been my own cheerleader and cut myself some slack.

At times I annoy myself, I have a tendency to expect too much from myself.

Today I looked back at how far I've come.

I'm not the person I was hoping to be but given the past I think that's been an unrealistic expectation on my part.

I acknowledge and accept that.

Take a look at the "happy..." thread and you'll understand.

I saw the thread and I think you're more than allowed to be your own cheerleader.

I believe no one ever stops evolving and we'll continue to work on ourselves for our whole life. But it is important to stop and recognise progress. I don't know you and I have no experience of what you spoke about but, I will say, the actions you took back then and being able to share your story now is infinitely fucking courageous!

Enjoy the day/week/month/year for yourself. There's no rules. You've more than earned it

Well done for getting yourself out of your low mood OP, you should be proud of that.

Today I've realised that I internalise anything that doesn't go to plan as being my fault - I place the onus on me and blame my weight, not being good enough, being too me. In part it's because it rarely happens, in part down to my upbringing and my constant desire to achieve. I've realised I've got to stop doing that and stop being so hard on myself. I don't need to be anything more than I am.

Thank you

I blamed my upbringing for a lot of things and I'm still working through a lot of it. It's a slow journey but necessary to move forward in life.

It sounds like you've reached a place of peace/clarity and that's fantastic. You're right, you don't need to be anything more than you are you just need to be everything you already are

I like this thread

I've been feeling very demand avoidant recently, but have managed to push through and get things done. Today it was sewing name tags on school uniform. Only little thing, but it felt good to get it out of the way and now I don't have to endure that nagging at the back of my mind telling me I'm rubbish for not keeping on top of things.

Despite not really wanting to keep commitments that I've made for today, I've learnt on my journey that if I dont...

Then I go through a process of self loathing, very critical of self with loads of self denigrating...

So I've kept them, it's for the greater good as well, to help someone who needs the help.....

"There for the grace of god go i"

*Bump* Another day drawing to a close and time to reflect on the positives.

I'm proud of myself for unconsciously worry tree-ing a situation before I even stopped to think about it. I'm an anxious person who's prone to overthinking/over worrying but the worry tree technique has been a staple for me for a long while and today I feel like all the hard work is all paying off!

If it matters to you then it doesn't matter if it's big or small. Let us have it, say it loud and say it proud!

Can I give you a little cbt counselling technique, its called worry time, so at the end of the day set an hour aside for worry time, if u find yourself overthinking during day, consciously say ti yourself, I'll think about this at worry time!!!

But well done it's all about coping strategies for our thinking and having the ability to actively change it thinking, or acting on our thoughts, become an observer of our thoughts

My day truthfully I havebt taken care of anything i should, choosing rather to distract and avoid on fab, online shopping, hiding from feelings, suppressing them, but that's what I've always, done so now that I'm clean, they can very unmanageable internally for me, but it's all a process of learning, I will have to sit with them soon, learn from them then be able to change...

I use worry time when I'm overthinking so use it often lol

I have those days too, I bury my head in anything other than what I should be doing just remember not to be too hard on yourself. You are allowed a break. You are allowed a rest. See today not as a wasted day but a day you've taken to recharge, physically and mentally, and put a plan in place for tomorrow. You don't have to catch up with everything all at once, just do one extra thing a day and you'll be back on track before you know it

It's been a quiet day for me today but not bad so that I am happy about. For today's proud moment I'm going to pull one from a couple of days ago when someone I've never spoken to before messaged out of the blue to tell me I had a great profile!! I am iff today. No alarm so had a lie in longer than planned.

Was going to paint my fence, but it was too windy and cold.

So I have cleaned my kitchen thoroughly, and done bathroom.

Also did a few beauty things for myself.

Tea in oven, gin in hand.
