"As hard as it is, challenged a really close friend who has slipped into old behaviours, had a open honest n Frank chat with her, bout the direction she is heading down " That's awesome mate Calling out someone close to you can be the hardest thing in the world but just keep the end goal in sight and they'll thank you for it once the time's over

"nothing.....i was meant to get started on my apprenticeship assignment and have only written the title page!! i am going to be crap at working from home!! might have to look into renting a small office somewhere lol" Haha I know what you mean, I'm terrible for getting distracted/procrastinating! I started my own business just before the first lockdown and with the amount of admin involved I'm glad Covid's given me an excuse to not do it lol

"I have been my own cheerleader and cut myself some slack. At times I annoy myself, I have a tendency to expect too much from myself. Today I looked back at how far I've come. I'm not the person I was hoping to be but given the past I think that's been an unrealistic expectation on my part. I acknowledge and accept that. Take a look at the "happy..." thread and you'll understand. " Good to be in that place of cutting yourself some slack pat yourself on your back for the strides you've made in moving forward be proud of that

I believe no one ever stops evolving and we'll continue to work on ourselves for our whole life. But it is important to stop and recognise progress. I don't know you and I have no experience of what you spoke about but, I will say, the actions you took back then and being able to share your story now is infinitely fucking courageous! Enjoy the day/week/month/year for yourself. There's no rules. You've more than earned it

"I re-established some boundaries which I had already started laying down, it was hard, but I did it " I'm too nice and I would have found a million reasons to put this off! But, it will be better for you in the long run and you need to look after 'you' first. Glad you managed to push through!

"Well done for getting yourself out of your low mood OP, you should be proud of that. Today I've realised that I internalise anything that doesn't go to plan as being my fault - I place the onus on me and blame my weight, not being good enough, being too me. In part it's because it rarely happens, in part down to my upbringing and my constant desire to achieve. I've realised I've got to stop doing that and stop being so hard on myself. I don't need to be anything more than I am." Thank you I blamed my upbringing for a lot of things and I'm still working through a lot of it. It's a slow journey but necessary to move forward in life. It sounds like you've reached a place of peace/clarity and that's fantastic. You're right, you don't need to be anything more than you are you just need to be everything you already are

"I like this thread I've been feeling very demand avoidant recently, but have managed to push through and get things done. Today it was sewing name tags on school uniform. Only little thing, but it felt good to get it out of the way and now I don't have to endure that nagging at the back of my mind telling me I'm rubbish for not keeping on top of things." Glad you like it Argh I hate that voice! I'm a procrastinator and it's often in my head too Great effort getting the name tags done! Even the biggest achievements once started with the smallest of steps

"Despite not really wanting to keep commitments that I've made for today, I've learnt on my journey that if I dont... Then I go through a process of self loathing, very critical of self with loads of self denigrating... So I've kept them, it's for the greater good as well, to help someone who needs the help..... "There for the grace of god go i"" That's awesome mate!! We are our own worst enemy sometimes but it's important to battle through it, especially when it's to continue your personal development and help others

"*Bump* Another day drawing to a close and time to reflect on the positives. I'm proud of myself for unconsciously worry tree-ing a situation before I even stopped to think about it. I'm an anxious person who's prone to overthinking/over worrying but the worry tree technique has been a staple for me for a long while and today I feel like all the hard work is all paying off! If it matters to you then it doesn't matter if it's big or small. Let us have it, say it loud and say it proud! " Can I give you a little cbt counselling technique, its called worry time, so at the end of the day set an hour aside for worry time, if u find yourself overthinking during day, consciously say ti yourself, I'll think about this at worry time!!! But well done it's all about coping strategies for our thinking and having the ability to actively change it thinking, or acting on our thoughts, become an observer of our thoughts

"Well done for lifting re-directing your train of thought O.P. I ran further today than I did yesterday. I didn't like it but I kept going and now I feel ...... EPIC !" Thanks Granny Great effort on your run!! From someone who would rather drive to the end of the street than run there I am in awe of you today! May your legs be strong and carry you to many more PB's!

I don't think many people could do an hour in the gym right now, lockdown has been a cruel mistress haha Just a workout for the mind to get completed now and then maybe you can treat yourself.... ? The gym will still be there another day

I use worry time when I'm overthinking so use it often lol

You are allowed a break. You are allowed a rest. See today not as a wasted day but a day you've taken to recharge, physically and mentally, and put a plan in place for tomorrow. You don't have to catch up with everything all at once, just do one extra thing a day and you'll be back on track before you know it

"*Bump* Friday's nearly over with and Heather Small's making her last come back before she melts into the weekend It's been a quiet day for me today but not bad so that I am happy about. For today's proud moment I'm going to pull one from a couple of days ago when someone I've never spoken to before messaged out of the blue to tell me I had a great profile!! I know it's not to everyones taste but it took me time and effort to craft and everyone could do with a little ego boost now and again lol Hit me with your happy moment of today and let's ride the wave through the weekend! " Simply getting some motivation and submitting a uni assignment... We all need a little ego boost at times n that's alright

"I am iff today. No alarm so had a lie in longer than planned. Was going to paint my fence, but it was too windy and cold. So I have cleaned my kitchen thoroughly, and done bathroom. Also did a few beauty things for myself. Tea in oven, gin in hand. " That sounds like a positive day to me. Sometimes a lie in and a slight change of plans can be good for the soul. And it's never a bad thing when you take time out for 'you'. I'll cheers to the gin, I've a bottle of Kronenburg in my hand and here's to a good weekend
