Sand, sea, the smell of fish and chips, hot donuts, the sound of the waves, the sound of people and children having fun, the feel of the sand on your feet and the waves.

I've got my bikinis ready. Who's coming?

Cocktails in a nice bar after?

(when it gets hotter and we're able to of course)

What do you miss?

Mostly this, but probably a less commercial beach without the fish n chips & donuts (although maybe on the way home! ) and reasonably secluded.

Well I'm used to staying in the UK for various reasons and have have only ever been to France, Spain, and Prague once each.

I would be nice to experience something more exotic. But unfortunately I've not been able to so far.

I'm with you OP in that I'm really missing the coast. I don't get to go often but I normally go a few times a year. I miss look at the sea and listening to the waves, walking along the sand. I always feel totally at peace and relaxed when I'm beside the sea.

I know many people have broken lockdown and travelled to the coast, but we haven't.

Mr has promised he will take me as soon as lockdown and work commitments allow.

There is a beach on the North Antrim coast over two miles long framing the wild Atlantic Ocean in its every mood from gentle lapping waves to boiling rage. Invariably deserted, complete freedom beneath never ending skies that glow golden in summer evenings until complete black night descends.

A place to walk to sit and watch the last rays of the day fade into night. A place where my dogs ran freely in and out of the surf...

A place of myths legends stories and dreams.

That beach my home for many years, its still there though I'm gone, my dogs just beautiful memories...

Do I miss that beach....
