They can't win. If they'd have gone away and not defended claims made against them they'd be seen as guilty and branded cowards now they are using the media obsession with them to have their chance to answer those claims and they're vilified and she has had some god awful comments made about her (some on here have truly shocked me this evening).

I won't be watching it. It will just sadden me even more.

However, whilst I believe there to be blame on both sides I am absolutely outraged by their sham wedding ceremony.

I am disgusted that the British taxpayer had to fork out millions of pounds towards a 'wedding' when they have revealed that they were married three days before. They have proven that they were capable of fooling the world at the time of the wedding, and that clouds my thinking that they are capable of fooling the world again.

My advice for resolution? If you’ve been alienated from and had relationships destroyed with Harry’s side of the family, and been alienated from and had relationships destroyed with Meghan’s side of the family, and been alienated from and had relationships destroyed with ex-staff, colleagues and friends of both of you, maybe have a think about the common denominator in all of that, and consider what you could have done differently too, rather than blame everyone else and absolve yourselves of any wrongdoing at all.

I have no doubt that the Sussexes have been wronged, but I also have no doubt that have done wrong too.

There’s always 3 sides to every story, your side, their side then the truth, which invariably sits somewhere in the middle.

Mwah. I'm not fussed about when they actually got married, the public ceremony wasn't for them. It was for the royal family to capitalise on the world wide love for Diana and her boys. Her little one all grown up and getting married. The money was spent regardless of the day they actually signed the register.

I wonder why the press doesn’t talk more about who the people surrounding/advising/organising the royal family are and where they get their legitimacy from?

In my views Meghan and Harry didn’t appear to charge the family members but those people instead.

M & H tell the story from their point of view which is obviously biased. But if such senior people in the family question the organisation so much isn’t it worth looking into rather than pitching family members against one another?

Far more important issues, like the pain and suffering the pandemic has caused. Taking care of our over-worked NHS staff. People in care homes who haven’t been able to see their family. The amazing science behind these vaccines! The world coming together to be one to beat this virus!

I would rather hear about gamma rays being sent into space from the antarctic because conspiracist theories of alien base stations in the lost city of Atlantis! And THAT is a stretch...

I still don't get it because they have given interview saying they didn't want him to have a title and now they are saying he was refused one.

Also it's not true that he wasn't given royle protection because I remember when the finances of the Royal family are published and the expenditure of his protection was listed I really do think there are some falsehoods being told because they know the Royal family don't speak out and defend themselves.

Princess Anne specifically chose not to give her children royal titles - it wasn't forced upon her.

Convention is that it is bestowed, unless specifically requested (or ordered) not to.

Also, I think having a royal title is different, and in addition to, being a prince(ss) due to the circumstances of your birth. X

On radio 4 this afternoon they had a guy on who studied constitutional type matters and he said the child would not be entitled to the title due to a change in the number of people on the royal list that took place before Lizzy came to the throne. It would actually have required Lizzy to make a change in law for the child to be given the title and this was quite normal for someone that far down the list.

Princess Anne specifically chose not to give her children royal titles - it wasn't forced upon her.

Convention is that it is bestowed, unless specifically requested (or ordered) not to.

Also, I think having a royal title is different, and in addition to, being a prince(ss) due to the circumstances of your birth. X"

But that's what I don't understand because Harry and Meghan gave an interview saying they didn't want him to have a title and the they wanted him to be protected and have privacy.

They said this before his christening because they wanted it to be a private affair and didn't want to have to announce who the godparents were.

I don't believe that they are completely telling the truth I think there is some truth in some of what they say but we will only ever get one side of this story and they know that.

its a hard one, they want the distance and with that comes no titles,no protection ,

however the reality is no matter how much distance they get, the public and press have so much interest that they are likely to be targets and probably need the protection more than zara and peter so maybe for one more generation its allowed? i feel like with being Diana’s son and grandchildren, even if they tried with all their might they could never fade into obscurity well enough to not need the protection

Personally, a monarchy system is an outdated system these days at best. All titles and privileges should end upon the queens death. But, you know it won't, it will go on and on and on.

Obviously many in the royal family are racist, whether any of them said anything bluntly racist to Meghan isn't the issue, I'm sure she could easily sense the disapproval from some family members on a regular basis.

It was their decision to leave the responsibilities behind and move to the US.

It was their decision to marry days earlier, before the wedding show for the media.

Who cares if their child is light or dark skinned, it's their child and they will love it, and the family members that love them will love their child, any of the family members that don't like the idea don't really matter anyway.

No way would I watch that family nonsense play out on tv, there's much more important issues to watch. If they want a life in the media so be it, no one is forced to watch if they choose not to.

Let them live their life how they want to live it. I would imagine they will have much more freedom being away from all the family rules, and also all of the family drama that you know goes on regularly lol.

Hopefully the people will eventually wise up and force the monarchy to fade away into history as it should.

Queen Elizabeth really should be the last sitting

royal of any influence at all. It's time for all the royals to stand on their own feet and make it entirely on their own in this world. They've lived off the people for far to long as it is.

Put yourself in their shoes, what if you were constantly judged on everything you did? Then it was commented on, picked apart and analysed then compared, what if you had your whole family hounded and asked questions about you and their opinions about you? And anything they said was taken out of context? Say for instance they obtained information about you which was personal and then splashed it on a front cover of a paper? How would you feel? Would you be happy if someone told lies about you?

I watched a bit and had the distinct feeling that Mrs wasn’t a very good actress and at points came across as lying and that Mr needs therapy, is damaged and possibly not really that smart or is extremely naive.

Damaged relationships are not mended by siring them so publicly.

As for the colour issue- the comment is a question and context is everything.

The only things I've seen is snippets on the TV

Quite honestly regardless of status of royalty or not this is a family in utter crisis being ripped to pieces not only by the media but by themselves.

Some of the accusations now said can't be packed up & put away - the words can't be forgotten. They are pitted against each other & they won't recover in their personal relationships from this and with each other.

I'm not a royalist- we don't need them - but from a human point of view how very very sad

Her father is alive. They were estranged until just before the wedding. He sold private letters to thd press. She sued.

However.... the broadcasting rights are owned by Harpo (the backward spelling of Oprah - who 100% owns and controls this company). Harpo will have earned millions from selling the story/interview, with millions more $$$

coming in from piggy-backing and band-wagon advertisers etc..

The Sussex's have been cut-off financially (allegedly)

Oprah is a very close friend of Meghan who will have a birthday, a new baby or something else to celebrate soon.

What on earth could Oprah gift them I wonder??

Put yourself in her shoes, would you invite your half siblings if you had any to your wedding? Plus her father had a heart operation, so you would drag your parent thousands of miles to attend a stressful event?

I’d be interested in hearing the views of anyone in a mix raced couple and if they had ever discussed the colour of their unborn child? Colourism sadly is a prejudice in the black community too. I’d have thought it be as natural as wondering the sex, eye colour, whether baby will be tall or any other unknown. If you tell me it’s racist to wonder the colour of your baby in a mixed race couple then ill accept it is.

In my opinion the crux of the problem was revealed very early on in the interview....

She was very slow in waking up and smelling the coffee in respect of the responsibilities and commitments of being a royal...

Obviously these commitments and sacrifices were not to her liking she has opted out but is aware the financial benefits her position brings and is cashing in...

All this charade is about making her look good and not the victim as it will be everyone else's fault not hers..

One wonders what Kate went through when she joined the gang ...

If anything she is a star and doesnt winge and brings stability to wills..

I went to a wedding in Austria once. Big Catholic Church ceremony (that I didn't understand as I didn't speak German ) but the official 'marriage' was done in a registry office 10 mins down the road with a smaller group of family and friends present.

How is what they did any different to those who get married abroad but have blessings at home?

They went to live 'their' life in America.

The rest remain the Royal Family.

This 'interview' ( I prefer well staged drama - it was about as unnatural as it could get ) said nothing. It alluded at many things but said nothing.

They have both caused damage to groups right through society and to cynics it could be interpreted as a wonderful revenge plan.

I knew nothing of her before hand and I wish I didn't now.

What an unpleasant character.

I wish them both well. They have youth, looks , money and privilege but any reconciliation between Harry and his family would take years.

We need to repair communities first who have been too quick to turn the 'nothings' said into outrageous 'somethings'.

It's us that will be damaged through this.

Why would they care about that ? They wouldn't.

Apparently this has been fact checked and apparently not true. They was not legally married as no witnesses or something. I can’t remember the details as such only apparently they wasn’t married as she claims.

Given that there is no evidence that the conversation took place or at least the context of it... I'd have thought it just as likely they'd have asked if they thought it would be a ginger as well... Just like his grandad...context is everything.
