With all the charity shops shut I have hundreds of books. Just tried to put some in a charity bin and it was full. Anybody got any other suggestions?

I'm the same OP. We have got boxes and boxes full and waiting to go.

You could try putting them onsomewhere like the Tree of Gum,someone might take them off your hands.

Otherwise we will have to sit tight til the chazza shops reopen.

Place single books in plastic bags and leave the odd book at different park benches etc for people to pick up and enjoy

We're lucky around here as we have telephone box book exchanges where you can leave your books and (unfortunately in my case lol) pick up other books for free, all managed by the parish councils!

I actually have four within a three mile radius.

Round by me they've made some "little libraries"

Basically residents have built their own erm... they look like a bird table with a wooden box on the top with a clear plastic flappy front, and filled with books. They're at the front of people's front gardens and if you want one you go help yourself but they ask nicely that if you take one, you replace it with a different one there and then so there's always books in there.

You can give (or collect) anything from Food to Flower Pots.

Care homes perhaps? Some folks bear me out them in a box and say help yourself...

May depend where you live OP but many of the charities are doing a collection service currently where they send you a box, you fill it and send it back to them or they collect it

Post on your local 'buy, sell, swap' page. Or slip them into clear plastic wallets with a little note and leave them on benches around your town x

your local 'nextdoor' online community..google it..offer them or ask if anyone knows anywhere that will take them for you

we dohave a telephone box scheme too here, but its for kids books and games mainly.

the local community project we have here is not shut, you might find who they are in your area via nextdoor if you ask

care homes often like books for residents or to sell, as do village halls and the like

hope you find a good outlet for them all x

Ya'll don't have second hand book store? Stores buy your used books then re-sale them, or they give you store credit you use to buy books you want
