Or at least that’s my opinion

So, I am a soulful type of guy, and I believe we all have one, but this thread isn’t about that.

So my soul age is early 20s. Always has been since I remember in my early teens and now I am older, And this is where I think I will always feel I am.

How old do you feel you are? Do you feel older, or younger. Do you feel your age right now?

Not sure I feel an age so much as an outlook. I look older obviously but don't feel older inside. I'm never quite sure how to respond to 'you don't look your age' because 'my age' is exactly how I look. Its a perception thing huh...

A younger outlook is understandable. (Time is a man made idea anyway. ) I said 22, but I definitely feel early 20s or “younger’ than I actually am.

I feel it's such a shame people feel a need to being young or feel young as its wasted the life they've had! I don't feel like I did, or think like I did in my 20s as I've had 30 odd years of wonderful experiences that have shaped who I am now and I'm really glad I'm happy with who I am now!

I am seriously active that might be confused with being younger but I'm 53, I don't actually have any serious wrinkles but that's down to genetics and the fact I've very rarely put a chemical on my face but I look 53 as I can't look anything else etc ...

Age is denied to so many that it's a privilege to 53 and I'm happy to enjoy it!

Not sure anyone is denying their age...think general opinions on the number itself is the problem. People tell me I don't look my age which leaves me thinking well what am I meant to look like if not exactly as I do now. I've no issues being a numerical old trout lol

Hahahahahahahaha precisely! I always laugh when people say I don't look my age as what do they think I'm meant to look like! I look like this therefore it's what the 53 yo me looks like!

think age certainly doesn’t play a part in how I think people look...hot is hot whatever age you are.

But it really is more about feelings and The date your birth certificate than looks.

I'm turning 46 next month

I feel it occasionally when I get up off the sofa or I have a bad night's sleep and look at my reflection.

But most of the time I feel young - around 30.

I still look for the adult in the room

Of course. That’s how you see it, I and others see it (or feel it) differently I suppose.

What you are doing doesn’t give an indication of how old you might feel. Only you do. Some would say it is acting younger than you are , maybe?

What you are doing doesn’t give an indication of how old you might feel. Only you do. Some would say it is acting younger than you are , maybe?

I just am me being 53, happily so ... I see everyone being who they are at that moment I see them therefore the age they are at that time.

Perhaps people have a preconceived idea of how they should act or feel at any given age hence why they feel they are being or feeling younger than they actually are?

We have all heard the cliche: Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional. I look at myself in the mirror, and think, one of these days you are going to have to grow up Dave, but then another birthday comes around, and I think, I'll put that idea on the back burner for another year.

I'm not the same person I was at 20, 30 or even 40. My basic values are the same but I'm way more tolerant, have a broader understanding of people and a lot more knowledge and emotional maturity than I had then. Also I would look ridiculous behaving as I did in my teens and 20s,I couldn't keep up the pace anyway.

I've moved through life, been shaped by it and arrived at the point I'm at currently. I don't think you can quantify that chronologically
