I am looking to book a holiday for the end of summer and quite fancy Turkey.

Has anyone been to Turkey and has any advice for me on where is/isn't good to go?

Capadocia (there are various spellings of it) is beautiful. Star Cave Hotel (I think it's called) is very friendly.

I personally wasn't too fussed with Istanbul but each to their own.

Take something to cover your head in case you fancy having a look round a Mosque.

Oh, and I hope you don't mind 5am wake up calls if you stay near one!

Been to Marmaris several times, it's one of the most popular areas for Brit holiday makers.

It's a great place to use as a base and take day trip to other areas. Lots of subaqua clubs there if you fancy diving.

Have a look at goturkey.com for loads more info.

Turkey really is lovely as are the people. xxx

Wet Beaver Creek

Just got back from Side near Antalya. Temp was mid 40's for 2 weeks, beer is 5 to 8 TL a pint. £1 is 2.7TL and you could get a good meal for 10TL in most places we went to.

Great place to go. Lots of Brits in Bodrun and Marmaris. Go further east for quieter holiday.

Went to Kusadasi last year and it was great to.

We're definately going back.

You'll have a great time

I totally adore Turkey - been a few times to places like Belek and Side down South. Found Turkish people very welcoming, extremely clean and very friendly towards us and kids. Would go again tomorrow - highly recommended
