Is it a natural thing or is it a fashionable thing....

I don't see someones sexuality as anything to do with being fashionable to be honest.

I don't think there are more bisexual women than men, I just think women are more open about it and I don't blame men for not being so open because you only have to look on this site to some of the attitudes towards bi men.

I think that us women, well me anyway are drawn to women that you can really connect with Its a sexy thing for me to be able to speak intimately with a lady I find attractive and usually gets my juices going.

I went to a girls school aslo and my puberty was a shared experience with my peers, so had be exposed to the beauty of the female body.

I warm to men who has the qualities of which I find attractive in the ladies.

A lot hide it for sure because a lot of couples and females won't meet them if they are, for some reason it's more accepted for a woman to be bi than it is a guy on here from what I've seen

Societal influence, pressure, the male sexual gaze, stigma...

Sexuality isn’t a ‘fashion statement’ it also isn’t performative but a lot of people expect it to be so.

Studies show that far more people are bisexual than would ever have you believe, as sexuality isn’t binary but actually fluid and social as well. Of course there are the extremities where a person is straight or homosexual but far more people sit somewhere on the fluid part. It’s predominantly the social stigmas that therefore keep those feelings repressed and silent

That’s always the way though isn’t it. It seems two women is hot but for whatever reason it seems it can’t be said for two men. Maybe they are insecure about their own sexuality.

But in the terms of showing it on here, some men prefer not to show it at they assume they will get less attention from women and as you say, many people view female being bisexual as more acceptable, this is just generalisation. It certainly isn't a fasion thing as I don't think a person would sleep with anybody because they thought it was the in thing do do. To define it as natural, it was sence of the word, law of nature or how society defines what is sexualy acceptable. Some people prefer to embrace their sexuality, others not for what reason which are private to them. I certainly don't think people choose to their sexuality.

Absolutely. We're conditioned to approve of bi women, especially if a man is watching. That approval hasn't extended to bi men yet, more's the pity.

There was an interesting survey published last week that showed that rates of heterosexuality declined for both sexes with age, the younger someone is the more likely they were to say they had a degree of attraction to the same sex.

Kinsey used to famously claim 10% of the population was homosexual, what last weeks survey said to me is that it’s almost impossible to put a number on it because many men in particular can’t be honest.

It may not be a representative population sample because it’s just what we see in swinger clubs, but I think in reality the rates between men and women are probably similar.

I think it is seen as being more socially excepted to be female and bi than it is a man, no one judges a woman for wanting to experience and experimane with a woman where as for a man it is seen as being alot more taboo, there are people who would openly say I won't meet a bi man (I don't even think bisexual men can give blood if they have been with a male in the last 6 months but I could be wrong) so it's really easy for a woman to identify as one, it's even considered hot and a massive positive but it is much more difficult for a man to be as open about it

A large part of it is the belief that bi men are emasculated or less ‘manly’ than straight men, a belief that I’ve seen propagated by people on these forums too.

That belief is based around the thought that penetration is an act that men do to women and so, it makes a bi man seen as effeminate.

This is a ridiculous process but a prevalent thought.

Also throw in that bi men are seen as higher risk of STI’s, whereas the reality is that they’re the same risk group as swingers.

This is just a couple of stigmas that bi men deal with that women don’t

Then add that a lot of it (on the men's part) isn't dishonesty as such, but actually it being so repressed from an early age that one doesn't even recognise it in oneself.

Certainly in the "normal" world their is no room to discover this about yourself. There's a little more room here, but...

We are on an alternate lifestyle website, so there are likely more heteexible people (fab straight).

On a “pure sex” website like fab, there exists more social stigma associated with male on male contact than female on female.
