"I still cringe when I think of my wedding day. Anybody else? "

Nope, it was a wonderful day.

We're still very happy.

I don't cringe at my first wedding either... it was what I wanted at the time.

Not at all. Would happily do it again, exactly as it was. One or 2 guests may be different now though.

I think it is a man thing to a degree, though. The day belongs to the woman. The man takes a back seat.

We planned our wedding together, we sat and made menus and place cards for the tables together, we enjoyed the day together and here we are, nearly 12 years later together and very much a unit. But then again, I wasn't bridezilla and had a very relaxed outlook on the whole thing.

No. It was ages ago and a very quiet affair but not cringey at all.

I wanted a quiet affair. Just the two of us and two witnesses down in Mexico. But she wanted her father to give her away... And that was when we started drawing lists up. And table plans. Who sits next to who?

Both my weddings were absolutely amazing celebrations. I would be mortified if my husband's thought of them as "cringe worthy". Are you still married Op? Does she know you hated it?

Oh yes.

I cried all the way through mine because I didn't really want to do it.

No walking down the Isle in a beautiful dress to be met by the man I love for me.

I still dream that maybe one day I will though.

Nope! It was a great day. We may not be together but I’m sat with the stepdaughter I helped raise so much to be thankful for.

In the middle

I had a great day, over 300 in the church, massive reception after, it was a brilliant day

The last few years of the marriage was cringeworthy but the day itself was great

Mine was surprisingly ok considering I only wanted a teeny tiny wedding and ended up with 150 guests. I hate being the centre of attention, but my ex wanted everyone he knew there and he ground me down.

My wedding day was something like out of a carry on film. Beginning of November just a simple registry office job. But the Saturday we chose it was the same day they have the Christmas parade through the town. My ex-wife if you're stuck behind Santa Claus for over 35 minutes before a friendly policeman stop the traffic on the other side of the road and guide them into the car park. But as she passed Santa Claus and his band they decided to embarrass her buy playing here comes the bride and then return to the registry office and wait for us to exit after the wedding 4 photos in the local paper. Very much to my wife's embarrassment and mine

The thought of having a wedding mortifies me

I hate fuss, I hate having attention on me, I cringe at speeches, the meal, the first dance, the disco, all of it

I don't even like attending them as a guest, let alone actually being in it
