I thought it was one of those massive English breakfasts for army people.

Have you ever had shakshuka? It's I think Armenian dish.. eggs baked with tomatoes and whatever else you throw in it.. I like chickpeas & kale or chorizo & spinach. But can be plain too. It's nicely spiced and makes a great plate for mopping up with a bread. Fairly quick to make too.

Now I hope you are off to that farm shop

Scrambled eggs made with double cream and butter on sourdough with smoked salmon (sprinkle a few chives on top). Throw in a couple of hash browns on the side and if you have room some grilled Halloumi- heaven!

I've got weetabix in so it might just be that or Greek yogurt with honey and fruit.

Yeah, I make spelt sourdough. Lovely stuff. Will be pushing it to resurrect your starter and have a loaf by tomorrow morning though ...

The combo is definitely worth a try. Smashed avocado on toast (sourdough, of course) with a layer of smoked salmon (can you see a pattern here? ) and a couple of poached eggs on top is good too.

In Spain a popular breakfast is fresh bread toasted with grated tomato, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a sprinkle of salt. Honestly it tastes really good...unfortunately it doesn't taste the same when it's cold and wet outside.

I'm having ALL the coffee them maybe a mushroom omelette or fruit and yoghurt or porridge.

What I really want though is a bacon egg and cheese muffin - I haven't got bacon, cheese or muffins

I quite like fresh tomatoes in toast. I used to work for a Italian veg grower who's main crop was tomatoes and it was one of the staple office snacks!

Omelet folded in to a triangle with cheese slices in between the folds, sandwiched between 2 toasted crusty bread with a cuppa lemon and ginger tea.
