So...Amazon’s prime soulmates...having watched this for me thinking.

If you could take a test and find your perceived soulmate would you do it? And why either way? If your in a relationship would that impact your decision on taking the test?

Also curious do you believe that there are soulmates and is a soulmate necessarily your ideal sexual partner?!?!

Taking a test sort of takes the fun n element out what is supposed to be a natural thing I guess, for me I'd like it to just happen allowing this to just occur, that's if there is a such a thing as soulmates, who knows

I wouldn’t want to know I have a soulmate in the world but had no chance of meeting them, that’s like giving someone hope and taking it away.

I do believe, when I see couples like my cousin and her hubby laughing, dancing and enjoying each others company like it was their wedding night even though they've been married almost 40 years. I think you're an exceptionally lucky person if you managed to find the one, as it were.

I don't believe there's such a thing as one soulmate for a person, nor do I think that they are necessarily always a romantic/sexual thing. No one is everyone's everything in life and soulmates are a heck of a lot of pressure for one!

At different times in your life you find different people; sometimes they click and they suit your personal brand of weird, their energy resonates with your own.

I'd take it because I'm an eternally curious sort and I'd love to find out what some algorithm decides works best for me - some poor sod would have to be a saint to be my soulmate.

It wouldn't affect my relationships, no. My fiance and I are in it for the long haul, regardless of what happens - there's no one in the world who has the patience he shows with my 25000 questions a day and who makes me laugh as much as he does. Maybe he's my soulmate but he's far too rational a sort to believe in that and would scoff and tell me to stop being sentimental.

I agree with this.

I’d say that the concept of soul mates is a very monogamous construct ‘one person for you for life’ is a very limiting idea.

I think that your ‘soul mate’ is someone that you grow with and develop a deep connection born from mutual experiences. There’s not just one person that you can have this with, the thing is that when you find ‘one’ they often become ‘the one’

I think finding your soulmate should come naturally ,and taking a test might add unnecessary pressure and you might look for it in all the wrong places and end up spending your life disappointed.

I think there is only 1 true soulmate for everyone so I wouldn’t bother taking the test as I am lucky to have found mine 27 years ago and no test could tell me otherwise.

Indeed you could, but you could say the same about not doing it. Though I'm not that old I'd sooner not waste too much time on incompatible people. You could also say it'll make you a less rounded individual because you're not going to experience as many of the different characters that we all are.

We have very similar tastes in many things

We do grumble at each other, but we don't fall out or having blazing rows

As the channels of communication are open and we both know that most things are given due consideration, nothing is taboo, there are no secrets

We also do that annoying thing where we say the same thing at the same time, to the degree it freaks us both out at times

Is that a soulmate or are we just fortunate to find someone, by chance, that is very similar?

I’d say that the concept of soul mates is a very monogamous construct ‘one person for you for life’ is a very limiting idea.

I also love _elis answer, though who’s to say that having or finding a soulmate leads to monogamy? One of the episodes focuses on the path of a couple who are not monogamy’s, and how this soulmate discovery impacted on them....

So if there are soulmates, then there’s a compatibility which would match I guess similar desires...

The test also told you who the match was etc...if they had also taken the test

This, we have all got many soul mates which have the same energy as we do, once you find some one who is physicaly, emotionaly, mentaly spiritualy and sexualy connected with yours is a good start.

Myself and C have a deep connection.

We have a similar outlook on life and tend to have the same views on different subjects.

We’ve even write similar things on here at the same time, so one has to be deleted

It does feel at times we talk from our souls, where no words are required.

But does that make us soul mates or just people who have a lot of feelings for each other and a good connection?!

I'm not sure about soulmates but do think there are people in life that we instantly connect with, that you can feel an almost tangible link to, and *know* they are going to be a part of your life in some way, not necessarily as lovers, can work with friends too.

It's almost like you have been destined to be drawn together, like a thread has connected you and has got shorter and shorter until the time is right for you to discover one another.

I've been lucky enough to have it happen to me a few times with friends and the strange thing is the links in your past that connect too, even though you never met previously.

Now all that may just be the brain connecting the dots to make sense of a situation, or perhaps sometimes it truly is fated - we'll probably never know.

The best connections aren't always your other half. One of mine is my best mates mum. They're to be found in a variety of relationships. I think if we found this soulmate, I'd wonder if it would put pressure on people to stay together because they're supposed to be perfect. People change so would your soulmate change too? Gosh I'm thinking deeply this morning

Ohh I've read the premise now - get it... So disappointed haha thought we could do a 'find your soulmate ' test haha

I believe I've met several people in my life who have soulmates qualities ... I think one perfect person would be too annoying for me - christ i can't imagine being matched with me - we should constantly grow and change , develop and have new experiences

I love when i meet new people and bits of us resonate so strongly and the connection is instant and deep, no matter how fleeting

I believe my late partner was my soulmate and it was fated that we got together.

He was a friend of my ex husband and he got me out of my abusive marriage and gave me somewhere to stay.

We lived together for over a year before anything sexual happened between us.

When talking we realised we had met many times over the years in various places even as children way before he knew my husband.

The link between us was a deep mental one as well as physical.

We had 15 wonderful years together. I hate being without him and dont think I'll ever find that same connection with anyone else

Yes we strongly believe in soulmates, we are lucky and found each other. Don't get us wrong, soulmates doesn't mean you meet them and life is happy ever after, as every relationship has its challenges at one time or another. But when you're true soulmates, you are so strong together that you can overcome any problems you are faced with, as you face them together, with heart and soul.

I know that I am extremely lucky to have my husband by my side, and what we have is very special, and we appreciate each other every day.

It certainly makes life a whole lot easier when you have a soulmate by your side.

In the context of this thread then maybe, but in reality anyone can be your soul mate, it doesn’t have to be a relationship, friends can be soul mates, I think it’s just someone who “gets you” completely

If you truly believe in soulmates then you have to believe in higher powers, not talking about deities, unseen powers, forces of nature, fate, destiny etc. Life somehow linked.

Soulmate is the missing piece of your life's jigsaw, that will make it complete.

Norse gods have soulmates Odin/Freya and were destined for each other.

Like all myths and legends, they all start with an element of truth.

I found my soulmate, it was like everything that ever was and will be, suddenly there in a collision of fate and destiny, could see the the whole picture now. So I can't help but think to myself - is there something in this unseen forces?

I think soul mates exist. I don't think there is just one for each person. We are multi-faceted, as are our souls, and as such we can have a mate for each of those facets.

Plus over time we all change, and it's unusual (although beautiful) when a couple (romantic, sexual, or friends) change together or can weather the changes.

I don't even believe a soul mate has to be human (not in any kind of weird way). My (now dead) dog was definitely one of my soul mates.

So to hopefully answer the OP, I wouldn't take the test. Because my answers on that day may not be the same as my answers on another day, and therefore it wouldnt be accurate.

Out of the millions of people on this planet I don't belive there can only be one soulmate for each person.

I also think out of them millions you'll be attracted to more than one at any one time which is why I'm on a swingers site I guess.

If soulmates is a thing, it's my best mate.

It is a really interesting thought and curiosity would no doubt get the better of me. If I was happy I would not need to test.

Like others I can't believe we only have one soulmate. Different people will be perfect in different ways at different times.

Compromise and give-and-take will all ways be a part of any strong relationship. I suppose compatability is important but looking for one true love is probably unrealistic.

We do change so much...one of the best connections I have is with a very good male friend...our paths cross so many times and lives almost run parallel (as in events that have occurred) years ago we considered giving it a go and decided we’d either be awesome or destroy each other...we opted for a lifetime of friendship...and the occasional benefit! (Though no benefit for a long long time!

)

Yes...I get it...and I think this is where my curiosity came from hence the question...the Aries followed those who took the so called test including a couple who were swingers. Many people fit us in different ways

Psychographic testing is unreliable and not supported by good evidence - it's poor that people get rejected from job applications based on flimsy tests

i think my curiosity would give way regardless of my personal circumstances at that time... but also feel it could be to my own detriment!

I am thankful that there is no such test... well for now anyway!
