Attraction

I guess this is aimed at the older forumites, but I find attraction is a journey

It is fluid as opposed to rigid

How has your attraction to others changed as you have gotten older?

Do you look for more things in a partner now or fewer or just different things?

How much of your Fab presence has affected who and what you look for?

Have your tastes remained static?

Much the same really! Initially it's the look of someone but ultimately it's that sexual spark that does it for me x

I look for more in a person due to poor choices previously.

I know what I want and I will wait for it.

Fab hasnt changed that

La la land

Definitely my taste's have changed as I've gotten older. Though mine are rather all over the shop and always have been. But I have a thing about rugged hands that I never had when I was younger. And grey hair on women is definitely something that is a newer attraction.

My tastes have changed, I look for a bit more depth now, personality wise.

I’ve realised that my journey in life has been mine and only mine. I find being able to chat with people who are tolerant but also secure is what I want. If I don’t get that then looks don’t even come into the equation

Oh yes definitely changed over the years.

At first I was looking for women with Toyota corolla and now it is only Fiat Punto

Wirral.

When I was younger, I was drawn towards older, silver foxes. Now that I'm older, I'm still attracted to sexy guys in their 50's, but I know like them a little younger.

If they like me back? Bonus!

It’s changed. It’s not just about sex anymore but the company in the time between sessions too.

Passed Beyond Reach

I have always gone for personally. I have spent most of my working life with stunningly attractive people. So I have always looked beyond "what they say is is only skin deep".

My tastes haven't changed over the years, just my critical eye on dress sense

Not just an old forumite, been on the scene for a long time

Always been personality based rather than looks based and have always gone for older men. That hasn’t changed. I can’t see that changing but never say never.

Being on Fab does make me view men off Fab somewhat differently, most men on Fab are so sex based in their thinking (or portray that) that you sometimes question the intentions of men you chat to off site.

A physical attraction is always an instant thing. When I was younger, it was enough. I think the older you get, the more depth you look for

Physical attraction is the starting point. That needs to be there before you go any further, but once that is established, then it is about connection, chemistry and that very elusive ‘click’.

At first physical attraction then on to spark and personality. But also think peoples attraction can grow on you the more you get to know them.

Loverly to hear genuine people who like to get to know a person for who they are which i think is a huge thing for a relationship to work. Too many people now are judgemental over looks and baseing someone on looks is the reason most relationships fail because they dont get to know the person for who they are. As the saying goes looks fade so you need more to build a good relationship.

Anyway to answer your questions and because Fridays are made for navelgazing when your other half falls asleep before Wandavision because he's a numpty...

Have my tastes changed? Yes. Definitely. During my slutty phase I was very much after a particular look and beyond that I didn't care about their personalities because I wouldn't be spending longer than a hour with them.

I think being on Fab has affected what I look for. It's also made me a lot more wary of people - I've seen first hand the upset that can come about from lies so now if I want to know something I ask. I guess that means I value honesty a lot in a partner. And I talk too bleeding much.

Aesthetically I'm not so rigid on a type as well. I do want to find them sexy but beyond that? What is sexy anyway? I think I look for people who match my views on the world, who are kind and who can make me laugh. Before it really was a case of catering to my quim and its desire for a certain aesthetic.
