"I have an unpopular opinion in that I enjoyed series 8 and felt that Danny’s descent into madness almost makes sense. It wasn’t as great as it could’ve been but not awful as people make out " i definitely felt this more second time round ... bran on the throne still killed me though

"Aren’t they making a prequel? " i think so , i would just rather hear about aya’s adventures off finding whats beyond the map than the early days of the mad king i think

"I have an unpopular opinion in that I enjoyed series 8 and felt that Danny’s descent into madness almost makes sense. It wasn’t as great as it could’ve been but not awful as people make out " I don't think it was so much the storyline of series 8 that I had an issue with, more the speed with which everything seemed to happen, and felt very rushed as a result - it needed an extra couple of episodes for various things to develop and be expanded on Dany's descent into madness for example, rather than it being that split second moment on a rooftop it should have been a lot more phased. As standalone visual treats every episode of the last series is superb - as a collective series it just felt rushed and therein lies the quandary.

Season 7 and 8 were rushed and poorly done. Season 8 especially. The 2 main points of the final 2 seasons were to finish it up quickly, and subverting expectations, just for the sake of catching us off guard. Rhaegal's death... So many things wrong with it, oh so many things wrong. The Night King and the Long winter, brushed off so anti climactic also. 8 whole seasons of build up to no actual answers. Just rushed to get it over with, and give Arya that heroic moment before they can wrap things up. They destroyed Jamie's character arc, making his entire journey pointless. Some important characters didn't even get fleshed out enough, essentially making them plot devices and mcguffins more than characters. In all honesty we should have seen the rushed shoddy job they did when the writers went off on their own with the Dorne side plot. That was the first time the show diverted away from the books without the source material for them to adapt from, and it was a shit show. As soon as they no longer had the plot laid out for them to tweak, things fell apart. Masters at the art of adaption. Novices at the art of fresh ideas. Look you have gone and got me started now... As for a spin off, there are things in the works. There have been a few cancelled projects. The one that seems to have been given the green light is by the... Book, Fire and Blood. It reads more like a history book, detailing the history of the Targaryen's in wrsteros starting from Aegon's conquest, 300 years before the time in the show.

"just finished watching GOT for the second time , appreciated the ending a little more now i knew what to expect not staring at the screen in outrage definitely left me more time to think how good would a spin off about aya be! whats west of westeros ! " There are a number of spin-offs in the writing. One being how the necromancer came about, it was touched on in the series
