Is a fun word, I like it.

Epiphany-

"A moment of sudden and great revelation or realization".

Have you had one lately?

Yes and it hurt like hell.

But you move on and find happiness again

I had one a few minutes ago. I was curious to read a profile of someone who had commented on another thread, more to find out why that person had posted said comments. Turns out I am blocked by that person. No idea why- I have never interacted with said person before as far as I can recall- so my epiphany was that it must me something I have done on the forums. So I need to be very careful from now on.

I’ve had many epiphanies in the last 18 months, very valuable realisations that lead to a lot of growth and transformation. Plus, like you, I love the word

.

Yes I have, very recently in fact. I'd always thought my endless curiosity and waffling was kind of endearing but today I realised I'm bloody annoying and not very likeable. No one wants someone who is like that. So I'm going to try and see if I can be less of an irksome twunt. If I ask anyone a question - tell me to sod off.

My nan’s spare room.

It is a great word for a wonderful happening.

I like serendipity- finding valuable or agreeable things not sought after.

It could be serendipitous that your epiphany came about.

Not necessarily.

We can’t be liked universally and sometimes we say things (especially via text) that others might dislike or express a view that others don’t hold.

For some, blocking is just a way of ensuring that they don’t interact or hear from that person. The person doing the blocking isn’t at fault

I’ve had 3 in recent months: one about me, one about us and one about another.

Still not sure how these realizations will shape my behavior and choices in the future.

It’s work in progress...

shits creek

My epiphany is it isn't "sad" that I don't want to meet or trust anyone enough to have another relationship.

Whilst it's unfortunate it has gone that way it isn't sad. What happened and how it all came about was sad, but now it's not.

Now it's me taking control. Me protecting myself. Me standing up for myself and realising I'm worth more than being lied to.

There's fuck all sad about me wanting what's best for me.

I had life I had, I experienced the things I experienced and I've learned the hard way I'm better off alone. That's not sad, that's knowledge.

I had an epiphany once. I think when I realised this is it, this is one life and what a person does is rarely remembered. the universe is bigger than my small story. A lot of us are not as important as we think we are.

Seriously still dealing with the scary thought of dying though, but I keep reminding myself of this, and I enjoy life as much as I can.

You mean that type of thing op?

I didn't realise my new mop handle extended either, so I've been using it bent over like the Hunchback of Notradamme.

I'm not a natural at this cleaning malarky
